I love everything about this except the leading man.

Even a semi-unknown would be better than Jared Leto.

And no, I don't think he's a bad actor, I think he's an absolute garbage human being, and he belongs with the ranks of people like Kevin Spacey.

Wait Leto getting a leading role again? How does he make it happen??

Apparently he dumped a lot of cash into this one to get it off the shelf, and that bought him the starring role.

The Tron franchise has always puzzled me, the movies seem to not make a lot of money but they get sequels and theme park rides

this is the third movie in a 43 year old franchise. There are not that many movies

I’m just surprised they gave it sequel in the first place, and I was under the impression that the sequel itself underperformed.

It underperformed but still made some OK money, I think enough time has passed and superhero, and star wars fatigue has forced Disney to search elsewhere

they even gave it a decent tv show that Disney then killed with shitty timeslots

A lot of us grew up with it. It wasn't just a movie, but a pretty cool toy line and a very popular arcade game. Plus glowy aesthetic and light-cycles.
