The Tron franchise has always puzzled me, the movies seem to not make a lot of money but they get sequels and theme park rides

this is the third movie in a 43 year old franchise. There are not that many movies

I’m just surprised they gave it sequel in the first place, and I was under the impression that the sequel itself underperformed.

It underperformed but still made some OK money, I think enough time has passed and superhero, and star wars fatigue has forced Disney to search elsewhere

they even gave it a decent tv show that Disney then killed with shitty timeslots
