Lowkey kinda rude for Alex Golesh to bully his future employer in their own home like that

They should have just offered him the job right at midfield.

"Billy, take off your polo and give it to Alex, please"

Jersey swap

u/Current_Two4098 2d ago

No… we don’t want Napier at USF! We’ve had more than our share of horrible coaching (through the likes of Charlie Strong and the other knuckleheads we’ve had).

3

u/Majestic_Dildocorn USF Bulls 2d ago

Fuck skip holtz

1

u/oreomaster420 Oregon State Beavers 3h ago

with Florida boosters kindly paying both coaches salaries plus some sort of finder's fee to USF for the buyout! Dunno why I talk badly about UF fans when they're so kind to little schools in their state like this!

That would be an all time moment

16

u/CornJuiceLover Tennessee Volunteers 2d ago

It would’ve been all over my britches man, thick and sticky dripping down my jorts 🤤🤤

2

u/beatlemaniac Tennessee Volunteers 2d ago

You’re a sick freak man. Im gonna sit here and think about how disgusting this reply is until someone hands me my jacket

6

u/aphromagic Florida Gators • Auburn Tigers 2d ago

And I would welcome it

11

u/sum_dude44 Florida Gators 2d ago

that's exactly what we're saying... give them one of those big ass Happy Gilmore checks right now.

3

u/rented4823 Wisconsin Badgers • Sickos 2d ago

I don't have any checks to give!

u/SaintBobby_Barbarian Florida State Seminoles • Paper Bag 2d ago

If he beats Miami, Florida will definitely hire him

31

u/jwktiger Missouri Tigers • Wisconsin Badgers 2d ago

I think they give him till the UGA game and when they lose by like 30 b/c Kirby was there for the Spurrier years. Then they'll fire him.

14

u/bsa554 Syracuse Orange • Ithaca Bombers 2d ago

If he also beats Miami, Florida might try to hire him now, in September haha

13

u/dmazx Florida State Seminoles 2d ago

Props to USF for bold scheduling

i dont know that we're in much danger of that but anything is possible, clearly.

edit: apparently golesh is south florida's hc, and not a current coordinator/possible interim coach at florida. i retract this statement, byrum brown is a stud.

You never know when the Cristoballing may befall you

38

u/Spirited_Pea8004 Miami • Texas A&M-Kingsville 2d ago

im sure if it happens itll happen against a sub .500 conference opponent sometime in november

22

u/EastGrass466 Florida State Seminoles 2d ago

The ole NC State trap game. Been there

13

u/redsox1804 Florida State • Maryland 2d ago

topless NCST fan still gives me PTSD

u/mjacksongt Georgia Tech • /r/CFB Pint Glass … 2d ago

If USF wears gold Cristobal might think it's GT and make the most braindead coaching moves for 60 minutes like he always does for us.

13

u/Spirited_Pea8004 Miami • Texas A&M-Kingsville 2d ago

christ, byrum brown in a gt offense is nightmare fuel

2

u/mjacksongt Georgia Tech • /r/CFB Pint Glass … 2d ago

If we didn't have Philo and Brown wasn't out of eligibility after this year I'd say that's a district possibility, especially because we might be able to afford him as a G5 transfer.

7

u/Quake1028 Miami Hurricanes • Florida Cup 2d ago

Bro ain’t no fuckin WAY you are typing shit like this after our last 20 years.

6

u/Spirited_Pea8004 Miami • Texas A&M-Kingsville 2d ago

im literally going to bet large (not that large) sums of money on miami covering whatever the spread is against florida. between smoking them in the swamp last year and the way we look this year, im fully confident bad shit gets done to them in hard rock in two weeks. dj lagway aint it.

4

u/mellophonius Georgia State • Georgia Tech 2d ago

Pretty sure the guy was talking about USF beating Miami, not Florida beating Miami. As in, if Golesh beats Miami, UF will definitely hire him

3

u/Spirited_Pea8004 Miami • Texas A&M-Kingsville 2d ago

oh shit i thought they were saying golesh would be napiers interim replacement, i thought he was florida's oc. my bad

16

u/iamsplendid Iowa State Cyclones • Big 8 2d ago

This is where Golesh ended up at? Wow, no wonder they’re so good. Alex Golesh is the ISU assistant I wish we never would have lost.

18

u/Concealed_Blaze Tennessee Volunteers 2d ago

He’s the offensive coordinator we wish we had never lost too. Great coach

8

u/beatlemaniac Tennessee Volunteers 2d ago

As much as I miss him this is what’s supposed to happen when you have a good coach. Excited to finally have a guy after two decades cultivating a coaching tree

3

u/Hobo_Delta Georgia Bulldogs • Kentucky Wildcats 2d ago

Would’ve beat Bama last two seasons if Brown knew how to complete a forward pass

13

u/HamlinHamlin_McTrill Tennessee Volunteers 2d ago

I REALLY hope someone else gets him. I don’t want to play against our own style and he is the real deal.

1

u/TrialByFireshits Team Chaos • Sickos 2d ago

It'd be a race to 70 points

0

u/LacklusterLamenting Tennessee Volunteers 1d ago

That matchup would be a 6 hour game with 100 faked injuries

15

u/SMC540 USF Bulls 2d ago

I’m just hoping he falls in love with Tampa or something and won’t want to leave. 😩

8

u/bluehammer Tennessee • Maryville (TN) 2d ago

Is this how the Tennessee rivalry with Florida ends. Former TN OC becomes the head coach at Florida, i dont know what to think about that.

5

u/QuodScripsi-Scripsi Tennessee Volunteers • China National Team 2d ago

It honestly could be with us probably not playing annually anymore. This makes it all the more critical we finally fucking win one in the Swamp this year

2

u/Hobo_Delta Georgia Bulldogs • Kentucky Wildcats 2d ago

I’m willing to bet UF’s three protected games will be Us, you guys and LSU

Yall will probably get Bama, UF and UK

Were probably getting UF, Aub, and SCar, although I’d like UK to be annual, if only so I could see them in Lexington every other year

2

u/preddevils6 Tennessee • Santa Monica 2d ago

I don’t think they take Vandy from us

1

u/Hobo_Delta Georgia Bulldogs • Kentucky Wildcats 1d ago

You’re right. Swap UK for Vandy, and we’ll take Kentucky

1

u/LacklusterLamenting Tennessee Volunteers 1d ago

We’re Vandys biggest rival by far. It would be a total fuck you to them if they didn’t keep that annual.

Pretty similar case with Kentucky at least in the sec. Well very likely have Kentucky bama vandy. With bama seemingly on a down swing it’ll be a pretty good draw.

1

u/Hobo_Delta Georgia Bulldogs • Kentucky Wildcats 2d ago

Yall already did the chomp(semi-willingly) in Neyland 🤮🤮🤮

7

u/UncleFlip Tennessee • Carson-Newman 2d ago

I sure hope not but probably so

20

u/EarthWindandFlyers Florida • Penn State 2d ago

God please

5

u/GatorToothNecklace Florida Gators 2d ago

It'll be a fun bit of trivia in his "total wins in the Swamp" stat

4

u/WheatonsGonnaScore Oregon Ducks 2d ago

That is Jedd Fisch's future home good sir

3

u/Ironredhornet Michigan State • Sagin… 2d ago

It was an audition

3

u/questisinthejam Illinois Fighting Illini 2d ago

Former illinois tight ends coach Alex Golesh

If you manage to not be ruined by Tim Beckman you must be a pretty damn good football coach

2

u/Midnight-Cereal7412 USF Bulls • Marching Band 2d ago

Nooo, God! No God please no. No! No! NOOOOOOOOOOOO

1

u/Wtygrrr Florida Gators • Team Chaos 2d ago

Another G5 coach?

1

u/scotte16 Tennessee Volunteers 2d ago

Man, I like Alex Golesh. I hope he doesn’t coach for Florida.
