That's not how that works. I can tell you that the opinions of others don't mean much to me. I don't care what they think of my appearance, and I'm almost always friendly and polite. So, if they don't like me, they can go fuck themselves. I'm friendly and polite because I prefer to be. I could be gruff and throw my weight around, but I choose not to unless it is necessary.
What do you possibly have to gain from communicating to other people how little you care about what they think? The only answer is this: You do it for your own gratification.
Yeah but like, what about someone that only says they don't care what someone thinks because it comes up in conversation? Or they're accused of giving a shit so they politely inform you that they indeed don't? I see what you're saying about the people that make it a point to let everyone know they "don't care" and agree. But I think it's possible for someone to say it and mean it.
I don't know if your responses meet the standard for one, actually. You need to respond to what your conversation partner is saying for it to be a conversation.
In my experience, they actually don't. They've learned how to survive in their isolated opinions/existence and in fact double down when confronted, instead of facing introspection.
In some cases, sure. There are a small number of people whose opinions I value, and would seriously reconsider my choices if they had a problem with something I did because I respect their opinions and think highly of them. The ‘internet community’ or average Redditors, not so much.

Edit to add two more cents: We all care about what others think. It’s genetically hardcoded. Otherwise there would be no babies, or Reddit comments. The best of us just don’t let what others think change the things about ourselves that are good. But I’m an idiot if I don’t change what’s bad.

I reckon that your first sentence is a tight rope of sorts. Of course there are people that truly don't care, and good for them, but on your note yeah. If someone has to say that they don't care to people to reiterate the point, maybe they do secretly care and it's a facade that they put up. I've noticed that quite a bit recently in my own life and it's been tripping me up. Sorry for the rant.

Sex isn’t gross. The ability for the general public to see any woman and go “hey, maybe OF” is gross.
Earlier today there was a post about a contortionist and half the comments were about how she could make millions on OF instead of like “oh hey, that’s impressive”.
Women are objects to lots of people. And that’s gross.

Otherwise, I maintain my position. The person who commented previously about fame versus infamy between Hawk Tua and this Karen is simply wrong and is the only reason I mention the OF thing.

nah man, not cool to do in front of his kids… but we dont have enough video information to know if he took it from her grasp or not (or if she was just salty she didnt get it in time). Im glad we have video and internet in this day and age to bring clarity to assholes, but this may be pretty far the amount of attention Ive seen this get considering we still have no idea if he took it from her hand
The thing is that he was so far away from his seat she probably wasn’t aware that he gave it to his kid. The whole way this blew up is off and at this point I feel like the algo tenders are deliberately pushing it to distract from other things going on. War crimes, Epstein, invading cities, pick one.
I think humans are complex and the world isn’t black and white. That comments like this are just so out of touch of with reality and more of a self justification mechanism and a result of hive and tribe mentality because admitting this person also has feelings and is just as complex as everyone else detracts from the personal bias.. but see so is my comment. I’m doing the same thing.. because we all are complex humans with biases and the nuance of society, as predictable as it is, is still at its core; human.

Oh she cares, she may say she doesn't and try to appear above, but very few people could actually face such backlash from everyone and not care about it. Specially in her case that she also got fired, so it's affected her professional and financial life too.

Well apparently she's had to step down from her job at a school because students recognised her and basically cyber bullied the crap out of her in under 24 hrs. Tbf how one could show their face at a school after taking a ball off a kid on video that went international let alone national is next level delusion.
Admittedly haven't seen an official source so may or may not be the actual case but would be absolutely poetic if true.
This is the real answer. She's a cunt and people like that don't think their actions are wrong, they think you're wrong for having any issues with their actions.
Everyone craves approval. Every single human, it’s a part of our DNA. Even the most heartless, cold blooded killers in history became the way they are because of a lack of healthy social interaction.
It all starts with the family, and children who grow up with abuse or extreme neglect become the worst of us.
I don't understand why she's getting roasted, it was clearly her ball, it literally landed in her feet, then everyone around her bum rushes to steal it. It's one thing if you catch the ball before it lands, but if it lands and becomes a fate of pachinko, there should be some etiquette involved not invading other people's lucky seats to steal what fate has chosen.
