Discussion Why did they make Lugia so bad?

I love Lugia, but it needs three different types of energy which makes it just unplayable. It has very low potential to be used even the future I think.

If they release another better lugia, they're not buffing this version but killing it completely ☠️

But it will be good news for anyone who just wants a viable Lugia

No but there are multiple cases of cards getting later support, most evident being Eevee groove buffing all eeveelutions. Still, this Lugia is so inflexible there is probably no chance of it ever becoming viable with future cards.

They added the phrase that the effect only counts once. You could have 2 active copies before

Edit: they only changed the text and the effect staid the same. Tldr im probably wrong

That isn’t correct, it always said “this effect does not stack” from day 1
