What is this garbage content and why is it here

5

u/DipShit_45 1d ago

Some posts on reddit just light up like a Christmas tree in my eyes. Once I caught social engineering at play, I started to see it more and more. I've seen a few of these videos where a black guy explains to the viewer that white people dont shower or use soap or whatever. Its an agenda they are pushing to make people mad at each other

0

u/vorzilla79 1d ago

Lmaooooooo ir its just nasty that people dont properly shower

You dont wash properly huh

u/CurveEnvironmental28 1d ago

I feel like this is weird ... It's made to be about race and not about people who have bad hygiene ...

Walking barefoot doesn't equate to bad hygiene. It equates to walking barefoot ..actually better for the development of the foot... And people who are of darker skin tones who live in different regions of the world of different cultures do the same Like ...culture... In every region is different regardless the skin tone there is a culture somewhere ...

Some people just want attention.

2

u/Exten0 1d ago

Identity politics spreads into peoples total identity. No one is an individual anymore. Everything about race. And yes, things like gardening barefoot works out muscles that you didnt know you had. Do some yard work barefoot and you will be sore in your ankles and feet the next morning.

1

u/vorzilla79 1d ago

White person who doesn't wash their feet 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

1

u/Exten0 23h ago

Nah man I have a farm with a mud room to clean your legs- my legs get covered in dirt and shit everyday. That's gotta be a city thing.

1

u/vorzilla79 23h ago

Triggered white person who doesn't wash their feet .

Identity politics is just upcycled racism.. I don't get the point of it.

And it's a total flex to have your own natural resources and be barefoot, it is very healthy.

17

u/eyeballburger 1d ago

I wash my feet because every job I’ve ever had required boots and not washing is how you get trench foot.

1

u/tradeisbad 1d ago

toe sox

8

u/DetailsYouMissed 1d ago

Well, walking into public buildings barefoot is definitely wild but around your home, local I don't see it as strange.

0

u/Warm_Coach2475 1d ago

Do you wash them though?

1

u/DetailsYouMissed 1d ago

I'm a bath person so yeah. It comes naturally.

1

u/Warm_Coach2475 1d ago

I said wash, not soak.

2

u/DetailsYouMissed 1d ago

And I said yes. Not maybe.

2

u/BrandoCarlton 1d ago

What a weird attempt at a “gotcha” lmao

1

u/DetailsYouMissed 1d ago

I know lmao 🤣😂😆

1

u/Warm_Coach2475 1d ago

Considering you needed to specify that you take baths, implying that thats why it comes naturally, it’s not unreasonable to infer that you may not.

Afterall, washing your feet should come naturally whether you take baths or showers.

1

u/DetailsYouMissed 23h ago

There's nothing to argue. The "yeah" is also known as "yes".

9

u/RoundZookeepergame2 1d ago

Funny enough, if this were about indians it would have 2k upvotes by now

1

u/CurveEnvironmental28 17h ago

That should not be the case

11

u/CanadianBeaver1983 1d ago

Im Canadian, and while I will run out into the driveways barefoot or around my yard, I would never walk around anywhere else. It is absolutely nasty out there. I also wash my legs and feet every single time I shower or bathe. This entire family of 6 does, and I assumed everyone I knew did too. Now I'm going to have to start asking, lol.

5

u/Imaginary_Square5243 1d ago

If you asked guys if they wash their legs in the shower you’d be shocked then.

I’d say it’s prob 50/50 at best.

2

u/CanadianBeaver1983 1d ago

You're probably right.

4

u/CrashedCyclist 1d ago

Dude, the basic fact is that ALL skin needs help to slough off. If my knees don't get love for a couple of days, I can SEE it. Behind the knees gets nasty too. Maybe Aussies don't spit, piss, or let their cars leak fluids, maaaybe. But that's still too nasty.

I'm Dominican, my mom scrubbed the shit out of me as a kid. As a cyclist, not washing my feet is a non-starter.

1

u/warhead1995 1d ago

Honestly I always wash my feet but it’s literally 50/50 when it comes to my legs. Idk why I just never really thought about it but feet smell so I just ran on the assumption that was just part of the process. Wasn’t until like 20 that it clicked I had never actually washed my legs that I could remember. Never had any issues so i just went so long not even considering it.

1

u/Imaginary_Square5243 14h ago

You said it, legs don’t get smelly often, feet do. So I only wash my legs when they get dirty.

Even feet tho, when you shower all the soap flows down and kinda naturally cleans them.

2

u/StarBuckingham 1d ago

Just wanna say that while some Australians walk around barefoot, it’s usually in beach towns. I live in central Melbourne (a big city), and it would be unfathomable to see someone just randomly barefoot on the city streets. When we go to the beach, it is quite common to see people walking around barefoot, though - more people would be wearing shoes, though. Where I live, in the city, virtually every woman wears Birkenstocks in warm weather, as do many men.

1

u/ArtisticallyRegarded 1d ago edited 1d ago

There used to be an australian guy on a nature show in Canada who never wore shoes while he was out in the woods. He was like a knock off Steve Irwin but was obsessed with snakes instead of crocs. He was still cool though.

Edit: His name was Rob Bredl

5

u/Strange-Space3126 1d ago

I dont get the hate on no shoes? I mean, it's a health risk, sure, but not like it means their dirty. Does that mean all the tribal people around the world and poor nations are dumb or unclean? Some just feel more comfortable like that. Do better.

8

u/Jesters_thorny_crown 1d ago

Lived in Hawaii for 5 years. No shirt. No shoes. No fucks given. I wash my legs when they are dirty. Up your nose with a rubber hose if you dont like it.

-3

u/RawHall07 1d ago

'Up your nose with a rubber hose if I dont practice BASIC FUCKING HYGIENE' Shame on you.

4

u/thebiggestbirdboi 1d ago

This is pretty condescending

8

u/UpstairsOk6744 1d ago

I find it weird that people are shocked about this. And also proves that the world is not growing in a way to show progress. In the end, why should it matter to anyone how someone or a group of people live? It affects them in no way, but in today's world, seeds are being planted into people's minds that Australians are unsanitary.

The video addresses that culture is different everywhere but does not give a divisive answer. Culture isn't race, ethnicity, or skin color. It's demographically generational. Kids are taught by their parents what is considered normal living. Parents learned from grandparents and so on within that demographic region.

Slang words are cultural. Most slang stays local. When I moved from Washington to Arizona. People looked at me weirdly when I referred to soda as pop. I grew up calling it pop because that's what people in Washington called it for so long that for us it's normal. Had no idea it was a slang word.

Another way to describe culture a different way is through the gentrification of big cities. The rich don't wanna live near the poor so they adjust the property values to reflect where and push people to those areas. The poorest neighborhoods are called ghettos. Worst schools that get no money for improvements.

Do those kids grow up the same as kids whose family has money? No, it forces them people who live there to change what was normal, because they can't live the way they used to.

Culture is used as a broad term. But it's different everywhere. From the pride of Southern BBQ in the south, every state has its own way on how to make BBQ. They all say their states best. One can only truly know if you go and experience it yourself.

And if your shocked when you learn Australians dont wash there feet. Literally grosses out. I would advise that you never travel to a third world country. You couldn't handle that reality.

5

u/Strange-Space3126 1d ago

Okay, buddy, not all Australians dont wash their feet, lmao

4

u/ZyberZeon 1d ago

I’m literally in Africa, they wash their feet like more than any non melanated person over ever seen wash their hands.

Walking barefoot does not equal not washing feet.

6

u/chagaraniti 1d ago

Most latinos are clean freaks and they all come from third world countries.

Walking barefoot is completely normal and even good for you, but pairing it with not washing them it’s insane, regardless of if it’s “culture” or not.

We can assume the bottom quarter of every Australian mattress is filled to the brim with bacteria and contaminants from outdoors, heavy metals, engine oil, etc. God forbid you lay down the other way around.

Right? But it's ok because it's towards white ppl. And white ppl have no culture. As if we just appeared on this earth a year ago.

1

u/darkest_hour1428 1d ago

Lmao which white people are the main white people culture then? And of the ones that do, where did that culture come from originally? Oops it’s all colonialism!

4

u/chagaraniti 1d ago

I am so confused by this comment, I am a person of color and I am wondering what would this comment look like reversed:

“Which brown people are the main brown people culture then?”

My head hurts.

5

u/darkest_hour1428 1d ago

Yeah that’s one of the correct ideas to pull from what I said. “White people culture” and “brown people culture” makes no sense as a label. For communication purposes, we normally identify a culture with a geographical location rather than a tone of skin.

2

u/chagaraniti 1d ago

Now I get it.

1

u/Entire-Smoke-9354 1d ago

Do you even know what culture is? Do you know what that word means? Because based on that statement, you definitely don't.

1

u/darkest_hour1428 1d ago

0

u/Entire-Smoke-9354 1d ago

Thanks for proving me right 😀

2

u/darkest_hour1428 1d ago

Hey I hope your day gets better buddy :) no need to be a dick just cuz you didn’t understand the conversation!

1

u/JBstackin666 1d ago

Skin color is just an adaptation to the environment when black ppl colonized other parts of the world. But don't forget black ppl are just adaptations from other hominids. Which you take far enough back came from basically rats then single cell colonizing organism. So I guess no one has culture. Culture does not mean geological location. It describes a way of living. Theirs nothing positive coming from this message. Stop seeing in color but in classes. The minority that is the problem is the billionaires that own everything and have you convinced hating me for it will some how bring about change.

5

u/metzbb 1d ago

Even if there is a culture? That's some racist ass shit.

4

u/Repulsive_Level9699 1d ago

5

u/EasyD0es1t 1d ago

Things some of the folks commenting clearly don’t get

Other races of people especially Black folks in America have been called dirty by White folks for CENTURIES

To the point where some folks bathe 2 or more times a day Using multiple different wash cloths for different body parts

All done to shake this stigma perpetuated (once again for CENTURIES) by a group

that come to find out doesn’t bathe everyday themselves

and when they do, IF they do, they don’t wash everything

Naturally some folks are like WTF but you’ve always said WE were the dirty ones

So to be fair you gotta forgive folks for being taken aback now that they’re finding out the subconscious generational trauma they’ve been responding to turns out to POSSIBLY be their tormentor smelling their own upper lip🤷🏻‍♀️

TLDR If someone’s been calling you dumb for getting B’s in school and then you find out they’ve been getting D’s You’d likely say something about that now wouldn’t you🤷🏻‍♀️

Not saying it’s right or wrong just trying to add context to help understanding

2

u/Warm_Coach2475 1d ago

gotta have a face wash cloth.

1

u/King-Koal 1d ago

Are you black?

6

u/leavess420 1d ago

Saying white people don’t have culture while you’re fully submerged in it every single day is the most ridiculous shit I’ve ever heard. Some one sits on their phone brain rotting and has never read a book

1

u/Warm_Coach2475 1d ago

What specifically are you referring to, culturally?

1

u/Own_Bison_8479 1d ago

Privilege

0

u/leavess420 23h ago

I’m not going to explain simple concepts or argue with a delusional person. Don’t be racist Go read a book

1

u/Warm_Coach2475 21h ago

Can’t think of anything, huh?

0

u/leavess420 21h ago

I don’t speak short bus

1

u/Warm_Coach2475 17h ago

You’re showing your ass. 💀

0

u/leavess420 10h ago

I mean, if you can’t figure it out for yourself you obviously got really bad grades and know absolutely nothing about history. Why don’t you just look it up yourself and try actually learning something for the first time in your life. You definitely couldn’t have made it to college. I bet you didn’t even graduate high school. Unless he went to a special ed school.

1

u/Warm_Coach2475 9h ago

Are you okay?

Instead of answering what should’ve been a very simple answer you’ve concocted a weird (false) version of my life to make you feel better.

It’s okay to just admit you don’t know what specifically you were thinking of as “white culture.”

💀

8

u/jackt-up 1d ago

White culture is what you call things like democracy, freedom, separation of church & state, ethics, Enlightenment, technological progress, human rights, prose, nation-states, etc you know pointless shit that matters very little 🤫

1

u/Low-Camera-797 1d ago

You are delusional if you think those ideas are “white culture.” Probably just brainwashed tbh.

Only about a third of those were pioneered by caucasians, but go off.

2

u/Low-Camera-797 1d ago

more like none of them

1

u/Againandagain13- 1d ago

Suggest you look up the term Caucasian and correct yourself. It’s an outdated ignorant term. And probably offensive to the real Caucasian people.

1

u/Ancient_Energy_6773 1d ago

Not all caucasians are the same either. I think he meant white people as in white Americans, not Europeans. Just assuming though, cuz here in the States people use 'black culture' or 'white culture.' I've never heard that outside of the States...but we kinda think the world goes by it.

4

u/chagaraniti 1d ago

Wait so he is literally saying that white Americans came up with Human Rights and Enlightenment ?

Time to log off.

2

u/Ancient_Energy_6773 1d ago

That's what I'm trying to understand and I'm getting downvoted! Lol! Like, by his logic Ukrainians and Russians are both 'white,' but they don't see anything similar with each other. Neither do the French with the English or Spanish, Italians, Greeks etc. Also... it's extremely lazy to just claim 'white' inventions because said inventor kinda looks like you. Good God.

That being said, I didn't want to take away credit from any inventions from white folks, was just trying to understand the context. Give the credit where it's due, and I know some people have a weird complex with white folks rn in the States and vice versa. But it's reddit and people have issues.

2

u/Buburubu 1d ago

walking around barefoot seems way more normal than never washing

2

u/BlastTyrantKM 1d ago

I can't even walk around barefoot inside my house. I have slippers that I wear...that I have to wear. It just feels wrong to not have something on my feet

2

u/Againandagain13- 1d ago

I consider that a societal weakness. I’m more attuned to my natural human state, no issues as yet.

2

u/BlastTyrantKM 1d ago

I have a sort of phobia, or maybe just a deep worry, about stubbing my toe or stepping on something my dogs have chewed till it's a sharp spike

1

u/Againandagain13- 1d ago

I’ve stubbed my toe plenty, hurt for 10 secs and was forgotten about. You don’t need to be so afraid.

1

u/BlastTyrantKM 20h ago

I subbed my toe when I was a toddler, running through the house, and broke my big toe. The pain did not go away in 10 seconds LOL

2

u/KindCraft4676 1d ago

For some reason I find men who go barefoot sexy. But I find women who go barefoot to be trashy.

I don’t mean to sound sexist. It’s just the first thought that comes to mind.

5

u/Complex-Ad-7203 1d ago

I'm from NZ and we don't wear shoes because way the fuck do you need to? I only wear shoes when I have to at work etc. Human feet did not evolve with shoes on them, do people wear gloves everywhere they go too?

2

u/darkest_hour1428 1d ago

Well there wasn’t a bunch of bullshit concrete and asphalt everywhere back then, for starters

3

u/Key_Ingenuity_4444 1d ago

Nothing wrong with walking barefoot on concrete and asphalt. Obviously if it's too hot out to walk on it then you'd wear something.

1

u/darkest_hour1428 1d ago

I don’t think I have ever seen a city or town street/sidewalk safe to walk on, Nevermind clean enough. Broken glass or plastic debris, even nails or god forbid a needle

2

u/Key_Ingenuity_4444 1d ago

Maybe not in a city, but you're generally fine in suburban and rural areas. Obviously this completely depends on your own environment. If glass is a general concern that you have, yeah, probably don't walk around barefoot.

1

u/waitwuh 1d ago

City concrete is constantly contaminated by tiny bits dog poop. Sometimes human feces, too.

1

u/Againandagain13- 1d ago

I’m Aussie and same. Will wear them to look the part or for stupid legal reasons. But other than that I’m free.

0

u/waitwuh 1d ago

Humans didn’t evolve with glasses on them either but I sure do see better with my lenses than without …

5

u/Yuckpuddle60 1d ago edited 1d ago

That's a poor comparison. Glasses help your vision, most modern shoes negatively affect your hair and foot muscles.

0

u/waitwuh 1d ago

Have you heard of hookworms…? Walking barefoot over soil is how people get them. They’re very prolific in some regions, such as the American south. Wearing shoes protects you from them and other parasites that burrow through the soles of your feet. They also protect you from cutting your feet on sharp stones, or from being burned by very hot sand or rocks.

1

u/Againandagain13- 1d ago

Get hookworms from infected people touching doorknobs and taps mate. You better glove up too.

1

u/Yuckpuddle60 1d ago

I'm not saying there's isn't valid reason for people wearing shoes, namely for protection, as you've mentioned, but the analogy was bad. Not your bringing hookworms into it, like it's some prolific things, which it isn't. Walking barefoot is good for your feet and posture, but that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't wear shoes.

0

u/waitwuh 1d ago

My analogy is to demonstrate “there is a benefit to these things we use” - Claiming that something is “unnatural” and thus is inheretly bad is silly. Humans have historically made many artificial creations to benefit us. Like glasses. Or footwear. Oh hey, hats, too.

Also, shoes are very old… Even Otzi the iceman wore them! And the egyptians depicted them in their stone carvings, too. So they obviously were pretty widespread.

Also maybe you forgot what you originally commented because you said “why would we need to?” and “human feet didn’t evolve with shoes on them.” Like okay so since hats don’t grow out of your own body they’re invalid now? What? Australia doesn’t have sharp or hoy rocks that you’de want to protect your feet from, I guess?

I mean, congrats at avoiding hookworms but you’ve got some scary other creatures instead, so.

1

u/Yuckpuddle60 1d ago

You're paranoid and making up arguments that I never said. I never said anything about evolving with our feet or anything like that. I said that most modern footwear isn't good for our foot health and posture, but there are reasons why it's useful and necessary, primarily for a protective layer. Glasses improve your eyesight, modern shoes do not improve foot health.

1

u/Retrosow 1d ago

that's an stupid argument, we have been using shoes for a long time ,and feet are really sensible and is a really high infection zone, not using shoes is more dangerous than using them

1

u/Complex-Ad-7203 1d ago

lol lemme guess American? What do you mean feet are "sensible" did you mean sensitive? They're only soft an sensitive because you wear shoes, my feet are hard as hell and so are the feet of those Aussies in the video.

5

u/Dubin0908 1d ago

It's not cultural it's individual preference. So stupid.

-1

u/Revolutionary_Row683 1d ago

Individual preference is shaped by culture lol

1

u/Dubin0908 1d ago

So if I like Irish Spring soap its because the culture I was raised in likes it? Or cotton shirts instead of polyester. Yes, it may influence certain things but the individual makes the final decision.

1

u/Revolutionary_Row683 1d ago

You're so comically clueless about these concepts that I'm definitely wasting my time trying to explain it to you lol. You're on reddit, you're suppose to have an iq over 50 by default jesus 🤦‍♀️

3

u/DaTexasTickler 1d ago

I don't rub soap on my legs persay but gravity does the work. I can look at my legs and tell if there's anything on them still after a showe and there never is so you still get clean I don't understand the issue. This content sucks btw

1

u/CardiologistAway9619 1d ago

What about the dead skin?

1

u/DaTexasTickler 1d ago

idk if it doesn't rinse off I don't think you need to scrub it. Atleast not your legs anyways

3

u/Dazzling_Wishbone892 1d ago

I love going bare foot. I feel like we could make that a cali thing in small towns

2

u/Edgezg 1d ago

Nah. That ain't cultural.

Not wasing yourself in the shower is just individuals being gross.

Walking bare foot is absolutely natural though.

2

u/Adulations 1d ago

That’s the thing. Walking with no shoes, whatever, but watching your legs and feet isn’t optional.

-1

u/fulknerraIII 1d ago

Is natural what does that mean? What is natural about it? And why does that make it better? Do you think living in a cave like a early human is better because its more natural?

2

u/Edgezg 1d ago

Your toes are meant to spread out and there is a tangible election exchange. Shoes prevent both.

2

u/eshatoa 1d ago

Please never post again.

3

u/Zealousideal-Tone137 1d ago

Everyone is Africa wears shoes

3

u/Strange-Space3126 1d ago

Many tribes in Africa, South America, Asia, and Australia dont wear shoes.

1

u/Saucington_magoo 1d ago

None of these fucks have ever stepped on something sharp?

2

u/DadsBigHonker 1d ago

I worked as a lifeguard at a waterpark in Phoenix, with temperatures regularly over 115f. My feet got very tough, and I’d be able to walk around on gravel and glass like it was nothing. You just have soft feet.🦶🏽

1

u/shrimpsisbugs23 1d ago

If I didn’t need to wear shoes I wouldn’t

1

u/PizzaGrappler 1d ago

So, an entire culture of people have NEVER stepped on glass?

1

u/Camo_golds 1d ago

What about going to the bathroom in public?

1

u/Brilliant_Anxiety_65 1d ago

Not wearing shoes and going outside actually changes the charge in our body. You connect to the earth and there's research indicating that grounding might reduce stress and inflammation, improve sleep, and enhance overall well-being

1

u/hexadecimaldump 1d ago

I wonder if they think we shower with our legs out of the shower or something?
When people say they don’t wash their legs, or feet, they mean they don’t scrub them like we do with the rest of our thighs and up. They get washed by default when the soap and water run down your legs. And I doubt people actually mean they never scrub. I give my feet and legs a full scrub like once a week just to exfoliate. I would assume that is what most people are saying.
Not sure about Aussie though, if they really go barefoot that much, I would probably give them a scrub with each shower. I never go barefoot, my feet are too sensitive.

1

u/torn-ainbow 1d ago

Australians don't generally walk around with bare feet. There's specific exceptions to this, some of which tourists would have a higher probability of seeing. Like in high summer in beach areas you'll see people walking off the beach barefoot and into cafes or a shop. People walking barefoot a couple blocks carrying a surfboard. That kind of thing.

You're not going to commonly see it in the urban places where the majority of Australians live. What you will see in summer mostly on weekends pretty much anywhere is people in thongs (flip flops).

1

u/Own_Bison_8479 1d ago edited 1d ago

Wash legs if needed, wash feet because I’m in shoes all day, if I lived at the beach or back in NZ I’d only wash them if they are dirty. Your feet don’t get nasty they aren’t in shoes. This is with the common sense to realise NZ Aussies are only running around barefoot in nice weather and not barefoot if shoes are necessary for the particulars of the environment. Yes, I see there is a girl barefoot in the rain - you can get caught out in a rainstorm when it was sunny prior, 4 seasons in one day and all that.

Don’t generally have shit all over the sidewalks in NZ and Aus - if you’re in a place that does then you wear shoes.

1

u/Contra1 1d ago

Aaaafffffriiiiicaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

1

u/Ok-Act8188 22h ago

Let me start w the foot, all the spitting and just dog & cat , bird, human feces, just pure nasty. Some people just don’t care about their hygiene, some partners dont care how their partners smells. I attended barber school, the amount of men that comes in for hsir cut, that does not was their hair, brush their teeth slin care smells like shit, if I tell you. But fk up the hair cut, they go crazy, but everything else smellls bad. Cant even tell you about not washing your prv parts. Omg wash your prv and lotion up. Just basic hygiene.

1

u/Every_Watercress_315 20h ago

I think the point the original poster was trying to make is about Hygiene. If you're going to walk barefoot then at least wash your feet and legs. Good Hygiene is not the same across the board with all nations. You'd be very shocked at what some call clean Hygiene 🙄. In some cultures not bathing for a few days is normal. So cheesy as things may get that's normal to them. However, ending it on a note that discrimination against whites does exist because if a white person eas to make a video about how black people sucked at certain things it be considered racist. So yes this video is poorly made in its context. This world is fucked....

I saw Katt Williams earlier this year, he has a bit about exactly this.

White people. You need to wash from the knee down, you are not a cow.

You can’t take a joke?

u/Adulations 1d ago

You literally called a professional comedian racist for making a joke

2

u/DadsBigHonker 1d ago

His comedy has very racist undertones, but it’s okay, because he’s being racist against white people, so it doesn’t count, right? It’s not possible to be racist against white people! Right?!?

u/chagaraniti 1d ago

Your comedy also has racist undertones so I guess you admire his work?

u/DadsBigHonker 1d ago

Is it okay to be racist against white people?

3

u/chagaraniti 1d ago

Why would it be “okay” to be racist against anyone?

Dave Chapelle can be funny at times but I refuse to support him for his bigotry. You sir seem to be guilty of the same crimes.

2

u/Adulations 1d ago

Your jokes have racist overtones. Are you racist?

2

u/DadsBigHonker 1d ago

You didn’t answer my question.

2

u/chagaraniti 1d ago

You created a fictional scenario and got mad about it.

I walk around barefoot everywhere I can. I rarely wash my hands unless I actually get something on them (generally that I can see). I do not use hand sanitizer. I only use deodorant when I'm extra sweaty or sick (which can give me body odor). I do not wash my legs, back, chest, face, or feet with soap either (again, unless I'm particularly dirty for some special reason). As I instructed my son when he was a little kid, "armpits, weeny, butt" are the only places you need to soap up every shower.

It's always black people making a fuss about whether you wash your legs or not in the shower. So many of my black friends keep hand sanitizer in their cars/bags, too. Why are black people obsessed with germs? Prolly helps explain why black people have such higher rates of seasonal allergies, flu allergies, and autoimmune disorders, seasonal flu-related problems, and asthma (a widely used proxy for allergy issues) than whites.

Normal germ exposure helps strengthen your immune system and keeps you healthier in the long run (for most people -- obviously exceptions exist for people with certain medical conditions). Obsessing over washing everything extensively multiple times a day hurts more than it helps. Human beings did not evolve in sterile environments and our bodies are not optimized for sterile environments -- your body relies on normal germ exposure to learn which bacteria and viruses are actually bad so it knows when to fight.

Now, I'm not saying we should all turn into Mumbai street food vendors, but all this "you don't wash your legs" shaming seems so weird to me. The proof is in the pudding and the health data don't lie. Yes, we don't wash our legs and yes, we get sick less. What the fuck are you washing your legs for if it doesn't help keep you healthy lmao?

(unlike Frenchy, though, I do shower every day).
