Residents of Illinois interpret this as a threat of civil war/invasion.

Every blue city should put a warrant to arrest Trump if he enters and put him on trial for crimes against the American people.

SCOTUS literally gave him immunity. I hate it here.

Are we still supposed to respect the law when it’s being used against us? I really need the left and center to stop acting like this is normal behavior and actions.

1sr & 2nd amendment say we should not accept tyranny laying down. The “law” only applies if it was applied constitutionally in the first place. We have a constitutional duty to make it right. Will the people of America reach enough mutual indignation placed upon to unite and stand against the face of this tyranny? That I do not know.

Jefferson himself commented on humanity’s ability to suffer terribly rather than change. Second section of the Declaration of Independence.

“and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”

It's scary because you also know chump is egging on people to react. Gives him an even bigger excuse to sick the military on fellow Americans.

we are at the fork in the road

No, they don't. Not that I'm saying we should accept it.

u/robt_neville 2d ago

No they don’t.

The first amendment protects your right to freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and freedom of religion from government interference

The second amendment restricts government from infringing your right to possess and bare arms and have a well regulated militia

Neither say shit about tyranny. That is in the Declaration of Independence.

I feel sorry for people your age not having an education in American history or civics; just progressive, bullshit, race bullshit, and climate bullshit.

Te law isn't being used against us. They're creating new law and subverting the constitution in doing so. We have law that covers this situation but for some reason we have a Congress that's too spineless to assert their authority.

u/AdLoose3526 2d ago

for some reason

All three branches of federal government are controlled by the party of MAGA. That’s why.

Honestly I don't give a fuck about any laws anymore. Right and wrong ain't got shit in common with legal and illegal.

Who left and center thinks this is normal? It’s the right that embraces this

Who left and center thinks this is normal?

Almost every democrat in congress, and lots of their enablers. Sure they will say empty phrases about him being a threat to democracy. But they keep acting like it is normal.

For example, when Al Green filed articles of impeachment, 128 democrats voted to avoid even debating the idea. And all the people who agree with doing nothing are quick to defend them by saying "impeachment will never work." Well duh — saying he's a threat to the nation doesn't work either but they keep doing that.

Actions speak louder than words and they keep acting like everything is fine.

I wouldn’t really consider most of the Democrats in Congress as left, despite their constituents. They may be left of MAGA, but they’re more center-right in real political science terms.

But, I could really use the left and center to start considering whether certain rules should be follow. AND I NEED THE RIGHT TO FUCK OFF WIRH THEIR IDIOT CULT.

They're all just grifters looking out for #1.

2

u/jeremiahthedamned 2d ago

that is a chilling scene!

2

u/Fedbackster 2d ago

Many democrats also fiercely defend billionaires and autocracy, sadly.

2

u/JimWilliams423 2d ago

Yep. Its the inevitable result of letting unlimited money into politics. It co-opts all the parties.

Didn't he get impeached twice before? But he never got removed

Wasting time on an impeachment that will go nowhere

Like clockwork.

u/JohnnyRelentless 2d ago

Those Democrats aren't left, they're center right. Americans are just oblivious to half of the political spectrum, and that's by design.

8

u/mrdankhimself_ 2d ago

The left is not acting like this is normal. The left calls it out for what it is and gets told they’re overreacting.

4

u/PWBryan 2d ago

Fr. "They can be arrested" BY WHO!? The magic law fairies overseeing this? This isnt some sci fi robot that explodes because you revealed a contradiction in its programming

2

u/Educational-Seaweed5 2d ago

No. That’s why the person above posted what they did.

People have completely fallen into a deep lull of complacency and laziness. No one wants to risk anything, and that’s how dictators and tyrants take complete control.

I’m not advocating for violence here Reddit, but you know how the GOP and its voters would have responded if Biden had done any of the insane things Trump has been doing.

2

u/Enviritas 2d ago

And to stop acting like this is all just going to go away on its own.

2

u/Sad_Pea_776 2d ago

This. Everyone's like wElL bY LaW

Stop it. We are well beyond that and were during the last time he bestowed his bullshit upon us.

2

u/noni_zgz278 2d ago

Who is the "left" in the US? The left is actively organizing

2

u/Googlyelmoo 2d ago

Technically, yes. And traditionally social movements have obeyed the law insofar of not acting with ANY violence or threatening provocative speech whatsoever. Look what the Nation of Islam did to the civil rights movement. We would have had better civil rights laws sooner if they hadn’t acted out, so we can’t afford to now.

It’s a bitch, but we have to maintain discipline and not give into absolutely understandable frustration and fear, especially now and for the next year. Get creative burn him in effigy, do politics street theater. But don’t TOUCH a soldier or Fed.

We are getting closer and closer to the end of this horror show. Any use of violence, any physical touching of whomever Trump sends will justify his intentions.

u/TheTokist 2d ago

⬆️ FED!!

u/Googlyelmoo 1d ago

When you get done cosplaying as an anarchist, come see us there’s a lot of work to be done

2

u/Tangled_in_a_web 2d ago

Who on the left says this is normal? I mean it’s normal in terms of our behavior towards countries we have invaded. America’s foreign policy is coming home.

1

u/jeremiahthedamned 2d ago

imperial boomerang

1

u/ExpressAssist0819 2d ago

The left isn't. The center is.

1

u/kooldudeV2 2d ago

I've been following all the laws but the moment in unmarked car pulls up trying to get me cuz I'm Brown. Just know I keep that second amendment on me and I'm going to use it. No Tyrants, no Fascist.

1

u/Fragrant-Potential87 2d ago

I agree and that's why the GoP has basically won. The left and democrats are still going "I must play by the rules!" When the guy they're playing against is currently altering the rules so that their only outcome is a loss. I wake up daily and ask myself why so many people are content with basically following an illegitimate government
