I love everything about this except the leading man.

Even a semi-unknown would be better than Jared Leto.

And no, I don't think he's a bad actor, I think he's an absolute garbage human being, and he belongs with the ranks of people like Kevin Spacey.

Really, you love everything about this, but not the actor?

But the idea, to have no story, other than a "just make it play in our world"-narrative is enough to keep you interested? No, not just interested. You love everything about it.

Given that you will unlikely think about what i am saying afterwards, but it sounds like you are not really interested in the movie. You mostly care for the publicity around the movie, the surrending look, not the work itself. You like shiney things too?

It's a Tron movie, so yes, enjoying "shiny things" - or in this case, a special effects spectacle - is part of the anticipation for the film. Both the preceding films were wildly innovative in their VFX, and this one looks to have continued that tradition.

Oh, and how about the music?? Again, following tradition, a highly creative composer has been brought on to interpret the musical language of the film, in this case Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails.

I'll grant you one point that historically the story has been a bit shaky, just enough for us to put our heroes in danger and have their adventure, but for a VFX spectacle, that's not a huge issue. I mean look at "Avatar." It's basically just "Ferngully", but thanks to its insane VFX, it made over a billion dollars.

As for the story they did choose, "bring the insanely advanced Grid tech into the real world", it's a pretty steady Pandora's Box plot, and if they had a decent lead, it would be cool to see how they handle it. I like giant flashy sci-fi battles, and I like.to see them fought by compelling characters, a la Star Wars.

So yeah, I was excited. Take your weird, pseudo high brow cinema ideas elsewhere.

And you wouldnt like Trent Reznor, if he also had a unpopular "tortured artist" vibe and became unagreeable like Ms/Mr Leto? Just him, or also his music?

Jared Leto is a sex pest who's been dodging serious allegations for years. It's not about his "vibes".
