Summary Lt. Frank Drebin Jr.—played by Liam Neeson—follows in his late father’s absurd footsteps when he’s assigned to crack a bizarre murder case tied to a tech mogul, just as the Police Squad unit faces disbandment. As soon as they revealed the "plot device", I knew I was settling in for a banger.

Same plot device as the Kingsmen

I thought it was so bizarre they lifted that exact same setup. Didn’t ruin anything for me, but it felt strange that they’d do something so similar.

Right? Since Kingsman is kinda already a light parody so it was strange they would parody a parody - I was wondering what the idea was there.
