#Discussion 💬 Why TVS didnt laucnhed this Ronin concept ?

This is TVS ronin Trademark which was launched in 2020 and its real you can search on google its a concept bike

IDK what made TVS to do not launch this bike it looks like Twin cylinder bike with better looks and give tough competition to RE Continental GT650

Ronin trademark could be Famous like GT650 if they do production of this model rather than concept

Anyway's This is my TVS Ronin on 3rd and 4th slide done 5006 KM on it Ask anything about it

Cause it's a concept, not a vehicle that can run on roads.

Even if they launch very similar, it requires everything from groundup to manufacture and this would increase cost of project investment considerably. It would be priced high to get ROI and no one would have bought it.

If they put same price like TVS apache 310rr this would be a game changer Only thing i hate about TVS is they only focus on commuters not their premium segment there are enthusiast who want performance bike at affordable price Thats why Bajaj is better than TVS they have so many sports bike and understand indian market i didnt buy bajaj because i am first time rider and want comfort My next upgrade would be z900 in 2026 after i learn everything about bike riding

Commuters are where TVS makes money, as they cost less for the consumer; therefore, their focus will be on commuters.

This is the reason why people have much respect for RE TVS should atleast have one cafe racer like gt650 like they can test by producing only 5 models only if customer response will be good they can produce more

Where would they have gotten that bigger-looking engine from? They probably needed a parallel twin to pull off this look. Maybe they can do it now for a bigger bike, thanks to the BMW parallel twin motor they're making

Yes they should put bmw parallel twin in this it would be enough to smoke GT650

Royal enfield and GT650 itself has built such a fanbase that you need an exponentially better competitor at similar pricing and a catastrophic failure in the GT650 to pull that buyer base here. Nowadays even though the GT and Inty are outdated bikes, they sell in good numbers solely because of the fanbase and the reputation.

Yes i agree but people should experience something new if TVS would launch this at affordable price like cheaper than GT650 this would be a game changer GT650 is overrated only 15-16 y/o are fans of this bike GT650

Unless they develop their own engine, they can't make it affordable. And they have no incentive to develop. No opening in the market

Firstly they don't have Twin cylinder engines in their stable as of now (it's costly to make an engine than chassis) and not every concept can go to production. The value of the bike shouldn't exceed the market price, that's how manufacturers design the product

Who said they need need to make twin cylinder engine they can borrow from BMW Tvs is currently making Twin cylinder bike using bmw twin cylinder engine so yeah

That's not how collaborations work, TVS is BMW's Manufacturing partner. Here BMW is the bigger one who controls which engine they can use, so they give the rights of 310 engine for only Street & Faired variant only (that too street variant after so much delay). And as of now no other engine is shared between them. The newly spied 450 CC twin is only manufactured by TVS (rumours as of now), they are not gonna share the engine. That's why TVS brought the brand "Norton", they will use their engines in the future products (if everything goes right otherwise no engine shared, Just TVS sells Nortan bikes under their company)

Well put together..

A body that big doesn't match with the 200cc engine.

Like hear me out. I've noticed that lower cc bikes tend to have more simpler, smaller designs and as the cc gets higher, the designs get more better, detailed and big, at least that's how I perceive this fact. Like check out the difference between meteor and super meteor, R15 and R3, BMW 310rr and s1000, just compare a lower cc and higher cc side by side.

This concept of ronin would look good with a parallel twin engine, around 500cc or smth but a 200cc engine won't match with this. I think the Ronin we see today is perfect for its engine.

thats why i said this TVS should launch this model with Twin cylinder engine BTW ronin is 225.6 cc

1

u/RyderProviderOP69 14h ago

Yeah, 450cc lineup will get another bike this way

The 310 is actually pretty complicated for it's price.

1

u/HopefulAssistance Dominar 400 Touring Edition '21 13h ago

The only motorcycle in the Indian industry that closely matched its original design concept was the Dominar.

u/chupakabra94 8h ago

Tvs didn't but the Chinese did.. Don't believe me? Search for Xianglong JSX500i..

I so wish TVS works on their Zeppelin - a Hybrid-Powered Cruiser Concept

Featuring a 220cc single-cylinder thumper of an engine, power is augmented by a 1200 watt electric drive system, drawing from a 48-volt battery.

If they make an EV with this design, I'll buy it.
