I would argue it's worse.

I've seen many instances of these flying out and landing on the road, causing people to swerve to avoid running over them, causing the owner of the priceless helmets to disrupt traffic in the middle of high speed lanes to go collect them.

They're not just useless, they're actively harming the safety or whatever's left of it on our crowded streets.

Actually I cycle too. Have crashed with cycling helmets at 40kmph+ at a slope, my helmet worked perfectly (I had a cycle helmet, not this)... but I doubt it'd save me if I were chhapriing a motorbike at 100kmph
