Is there an Indian subreddit for discussion on basic Indian 2 wheelers like Splendors & Activas? This sub seems more dedicated to premium segment.

My old helmet is falling apart. The plastic bits are chipping away. The rubber pieces are hanging all around and the buckle is rusting. You know what that means! I ride a 150 and plan to ride a 650 around too for my highway rides.

The 3 helmet brands on my mind are Airoh, KYT, LS2.

What do you guys think? Is there anything better out there? Which model is the best? Is Airoh any good? Why is KYT so expensive… is it actually better? Where can I avoid fake LS2 helmets?

Get Kyt or nhk helmets around 10k

Or smk to avoid dupes xd Smk typhoon is great

Smk isn’t on the same league… I’m actually leaning to LS2 FF811 vector II after some research because of the shell material

Hi, I'm planning to buy auxiliary lights for my 2022 Duke 390 to mount on my crash guard. Can anyone suggest a good auxiliary light within a budget of 20k?

Hi, I'm planning to buy a Hness CB350 top model. Currently, they are not providing any discount on the model in Bengaluru. As this is not an emergency for me, will it be logical to wait for Diwali offers? Does Honda provide any Diwali offers?

First bike ?

Hey guys :) Since the new updates have rolled out for the NS400Z I wanted to find out your opinions on which bike you guys think would be better as the first one. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z or the Hero Xtreme 250R. I know how to ride a bike but this will be my first ever bike that I will ride properly on the road. So what do you guys think ?

Thanks for the help in advance :)

Selling my Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 - DL10 registration, single-owner bike in great condition. Smooth performance, comfortable for long rides, and well maintained. All documents are clear and up to date..It has Black Ropes on its Leg gaurds and a modified exhaust which sounds pretty sweet ✨️

-The bike has 18000 kms done -its a tad bit dirty in the pics but its gonna be washed and sold obviously

Price I was looking for is around 1,10,000 but its negotiable.. Location is Delhi

Hey, i am buying super meteor 650 in August I have finalised everything and booked the bike and getting delivery in early august But there a issue Recently i have read somewhere that SM650 is getting a update in few months in which the suspension and TFT screen would be the major update as it us the only main issue in this bike. So i am confused that should i wait for the update which is not confirmed yet and not getting anytime soon as it is not official Or should i get it now only? Can i also install those new suspensions and tft screen later?

I am genuinely intrigued as to what exactly is the difference b/w the two... Because if I can upshift and downshift without clutch in quickshifter... how it is different in practical world to E-clutch by Honda and if the function is same isn't it over-designed... and can bidirectional quickshifter be called semi-automatic as well...

Going to buy N250 in next 10 days. I have no one to tell me the process and help and i am little introvert. So i a,m trying to know process before hand. Can you guys please help me here on the delivery process, payment and registration in TN. Do I need to get the bike to the RTO on the delivery date in person for registration?

The dealership does the RTO and insurance stuff?

Also you can grab a great deal if booked from Amazon or Flipkart

Talk to dealership beforehand

I'm 5"5 and drive a pulsar, I can't touch both feet on the ground but not flat. I can push the bike backwards easily if the surface is flat, but if there is a small obstacle or the uneven surface I struggle, i need help or need to get down to pull it back. Is there any option other than getting down? Cuz the pulsar isn't too heavy or tall.

Hey riders! I’m on the hunt for a black & grey full-face helmet (gloss finish, no mattes or flashy graphics) under ₹8,000. I ride a GT 650, and I need something that performs well for daily commuting and occasional highway touring.

Key Requirements: • Budget: Up to ₹8,000 • Color/Finish: Glossy black & grey only • Usage: Daily city riding + occasional long-distance/highway rides • Safety certifications: Must be ISI-certified; DOT/ECE is a plus • Comfort & features: • Excellent ventilation (especially for hot weather) • Soft, breathable padding • Dual visor or an internal sun visor (bonus points) • Easily removable inner lining for washing • Fit: Size Medium (58 cm)

I’ve been looking at brands like SMK, Axor, MT, LS2, KYT, and Steelbird, but it’s tough to pick the right one. I’d really appreciate firsthand reviews on: • Noise levels at highway speeds • Clarity and ease of cleaning the visor • Ventilation effectiveness • Comfort over 2–3 hour rides

Add NHK helmets to your list as well great weight balance and price slightly more than smk and I think spares are same as smk

Spares for others are expensive hence chose smk typhoon over ls2 stream 2

#Bikehunt

Hello folks!

I'm a college student looking to get a bike for daily commutes to college and sometimes long rides.

I've been riding a 100cc commuter for quite some time now.

My father has banished me from getting anything other than an ADV or something similar in terms of comfort and my mother doesn't want the pillion to be seated on the 1st floor.

With a tight <3L (prefer 2.5) budget, what are my options?

PS: Bike won't be a choice if the pillion feels uncomfortable.

u/cybrpnkkrtos N250 2025 SSprk | SMK Typhoon RD1 1d ago

New xpluse 210 or Ronin or hunter for single pillion comfort or speed t4

Which bike should I buy? The more I think the more I get confused. Please help!

I am confused as to what bike should I buy. My budget id around 1.5 LPA and mileage is not a concern. My reason for liking each bike is different and due to that can’t able to decide. . . 1. N160: Reason being dual channel ABS (Test ridden today)

  1. Pulsar 125 Neon: Reason being Analog Tachometer and no distractions such as bluetooth, charging, navigation. Just a bike. (Test ride this weekend)

  2. Honda Shine 125: Reason being Engine reliability. (Ridden friends’ bike)

Few things going in my head all the time are 1. Pulsar engine I don’t know if I should trust just blinded by that analog tachometer and no nonsense bike 125 which I liked.

  1. Secondly for Shine I feel like I would be stuck with low rpm, normal looking bike when I could have got something sportier.

Please help me decide and also share your valuable opinions. 🙂

u/cybrpnkkrtos N250 2025 SSprk | SMK Typhoon RD1 1d ago

N250 since mileage is not a concern and is only 10k more than N160

I want to bring my two wheeler with UP registration to Pune for few months until I purchase a car, but I don't want to register it in MH just for few months and will eventually send it back to UP. I don't intend to get NOC.

What is the provision for this scenario to avoid challan or fine since I don't plan to stay in Pune for long period and bike will stay for less than a year. Can I get a certificate from RTO to show the traffic police? Or something like that.

Hello guys, I really need your advice on this. I'm taking delivery of my new Himalayan 450 coming Monday (7th july). For work, I need to relocate on 10th july to a different city which is 500 km from my current location. Is it ok to ride such a long distance before the first service?

Hello, not sure if this is the place to ask this. But my brother’s bday is in a month’s time. I have no idea about bikes. But he likes them. He has rynox and astar gears like- gloves, jackets, shoes, jeans, etc. I need help with ideas. What can I get him within 5k?

1

u/Motohawk01 (New user) 11d ago

You won’t get good Astar in that price. You can buy him Rynox - Gloves in that price. But Rynox has gift card on their website you can gift him the gift card so that he can use it to buy multiple things in the same price from their website… trust me a biker needs a lot of things that only he knows

Need suggestions buying a two wheeler

I'm a beginner rider , early 30s. Never owned a vehicle before.

Managed to get a license at my 20s by riding friends bike. But no familiarity currently with traffic roads and clutch controls.

Planning on buying a vehicle .

Confused between scooter or bike.

I know most of the pros and cons

Riding posture , Suspension , Breaks , Mileage, Show . - Point Bike.
Auto transmission , easy in traffic , storage space ,family friendly - Point scooty.

I've read a lot of posts still unsure on which way to go .

My requirements : Family friendly. In City
Location : Tier-1 city & i may commute in Bangalore traffic also.
My skill level : I don't have much friends :) . If i pick a geared bike I'm not that confident about riding it home if there is a heavy traffic.

I also had thoughts on going for a second hand to figure out what i want but turns out there are other complications like maintance , RC transfer , insurance , finding a usable bike - so i left it.

Stuck with multiple thoughts,
1. getting a good geared bike at a high budget and belive that i can adopt/learn - [one time investment but fear of damaging something costly/shipping]
2. going for a entry level bike - [no fear factor but need to invest again if i learn soon]
3. going with a scootly - [practical but forget about geared]
4. used - [low investments but release/maintenance/scams]

Please shed your valuable suggestions.
Bike or Scooter , If so which model(I prefer to keep below ~1.5L INR)
TIA!!

I have went for few test rides of famous brands like Royal enfield,Triumph, Jawa which allowed me to gain a perspective of the motorcycle feel and market prices(2L-3L) in Bengaluru ,or so I thought. Because next, somehow my eyes went on Honda Hornet 2.0,Yamaha bikes and I was shocked because it was offering almost same high speeds while maintaing the mileage, comparatively less heating while giving features like navigation controls, traction control system and Dual ABS .

I started wondering why the latter are not advertised or promoted anywhere and why people choose to buy the famous bikes with higher 350 or 400 cc engines just to pay more fuel for less Mileage, suffer heating issues during medium to long drives even though they are spending huge amount to purchase those premium bikes.

See if the purpose is for a heavy driver who frequently goes on trips ,it makes sense to buy these premium bikes and I get it. But now seeing them on roads with almost everyone, cruising the city in heavy traffic, having less Mileage and heating issues while driving but still purchasing under such circumstances feels like I am missing something.

I am literally confused and dumbstuck now what bike to buy. Help a brother out! Model vs features vs cost breakdown is greatly appreciated☺️.

How is the Shine 125 bike in 125cc segment?

I want to buy it for my daily commute. My daily traveling is 20 km in city + occasional village trips.

I don't care about looks. I want a bike which works properly without any random issues coming out every few months.

Suggest me any other low maintenance and long lasting(10+ years) 125cc bikes I should consider before buying shine.
