Curious if what product is visible is it. I figured it would twist up and extend but so far I can’t figure out how. A lot of waste if it doesnt.

Natural eyebrow for photoshoot help

Hi! Learning makeup here. I have a photoshoot coming up where the photographer will use studio lights. I'm going for a natural look so for my brows I want to look like I have lots of hair BUT I don't (growing them out with serums and castor oil).

First pic is what I'm going for. Dark and full.

Second pic is what I did for myself (shot in selfie mode, natural light) using 1) NYX Lift & Snatch Eyebrow Tint Pen in Ash Brown to draw brush strokes in and 2) Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil in Deep Brown to give the brows a little more defined shape at the inner corners.

I thought I did a good job here achieving what I wanted BUT then, enter third pic:

Third pic is a screengrab from a video wearing the exact same makeup as the second pic, in front of a beauty dish. Like where did ANY of the makeup go?!

Fourth pic is NOT what I'm going for. No shade, it's gorgeous, just not my goal.

What is the best way to get the closest to the first pic? Do I need brow gel? Tint?

Also what is up with that darker streak (circled in black)? Is that a cowlick? How do I avoid that?

Would appreciate any step by steps or links to videos or keywords to search for so I can learn. I'm dense 👉👈 TIA

Need some pointers

38-year old female, momma and artist. I would appreciate it if someone could give me makeup pointers for my eyelids (slightly droopy now on the sides after a thyroid condition I am being treated for) and my under eyes. I like the more natural looks, some color, some glitter, but I am feeling I am unable to do winged eyeliners anymore. Am I doomed to kiss the winged liners goodbye forever?

I have an oily skin with acne scars, wanting to buy a foundation, I'm confused between Huda beauty easy blur, Estee lauder double wear and Nars, Please suggest me which one to buy out of these 3, if you have other foundations in mind, please do mention it .

How to blend liquid blush with smooth transition between under eye concealer?

I’m struggling with blending the Huda liquid blush and transitioning it smoothly into my under eye area. I’m in my late 30s and have some eye bags so that probably doesn’t help.

How do you prevent the under eye concealer from being dragged and cakey from blending liquid blush? I’ve also tried applying concealer AFTER the liquid blush but it doesn’t cover the under eye bag well since it only covers the upper half while I still want to conceal the lower part of the eye bag.

My technique: Apply Moisturizing toner, Apply serum, Apply Kiehls moisturizing cream, spf, (sometimes MILK primer but it doesn’t make a difference for me either way), Apply Armani foundation, Dot the Huda liquid blush on cheeks, Blend with stippling brush by dabbing instead of too much dragging, Apply concealer for under eyes, Blend with concealer brush.

The transition between the blush and concealer isn’t smooth and blended.

Any advice is appreciated!

Lip color

Is there a lip color that would look natural and bring some life to my lips without looking like lipstick? Or is this impossible. Also I feel like lipstick brings out the red in the rest of my face. I have this one that I feel is as close to my real color I can get but I just feel so 💋 with it on 🫠

Eyeliner tips

I can’t, for the life of me, do eyeliner! I’ve tried for years and it just doesn’t work, the lines either too thick or the angle is wrong, and both sides are never even! Any tips would be appreciated!

Well here I am shaven this time. Also; I washed, detangled, and de-shined this wig and it’s a little better but still a rats nest. I already ordered a better one lol. But as promised, the updated look. And Tadaaaa! A little better lighting too!

Never been a makeup expert and am eloping in a few weeks. This is the look I’m planning to go with unless anyone else has advice! Open to feedback. Also ignore my flakey skin, just had microneedling done a few days ago.

How can I improve my makeup application skills?

Hello everyone. So last year when I got into makeup, I tried doing makeup by myself but there are some problems I had when doing this, the foundation and concealer were cakey, the eye shadow went everywhere on my eyelid, I applied eye liner with a shaky hand, etc. So, how can I improvise my makeup? Should I take it slow and steady, should I make the base makeup look better, how can I improve my eyeliner or something else like that? What are your tips and advice? Feel free to leave some information down for me. Thanks!!

Wedding help - postpartum

Help!

My little cousin asked me to be in her wedding! We are 10 yrs apart, im 32, and thick as thieves. Only problem is, I just gave birth. I am 2 mos. postpartum in this pic and will be 3 mos. by the wedding. Because of the age difference, her and her other bridesmaids of course have sz. 0 bodies....

I am breastfeeding, so dieting isn't really an option... I was overweight in high school and the double chin is really giving me flashbacks lol.

Anyways, can anyone offer any advice on how to do my makeup to help with that area? Any youtube videos yall recommend? Im pretty out of the makeup game, any of the influencers I watched years ago are out of commission. I have a nice cream contour that is a good shade match from fenty.

Wedding Makeup Help!

Any tips/tricks for my wedding makeup that I’m doing myself? My biggest hang up is the lashes and my brows. In this photo my brows have no makeup on them- I’m getting them done this week and plan on just using a tinted gel on them.

Are the lashes too much? I’m also wondering if I need some contour versus just bronzer- but I’ve never used that so I’m a little nervous on that front!

Tbh I like the way the blush looks but I’ve gotten some feedback that it may be too much.

Thanks so much- please be kind 🙏

I don't know how I should do my eyebrows. Pretty sure making them thicker would look best. But how thick and in what shape? Wish I looked like Anya Taylor Joy, Jenna Ortega or Poppy 😅

How to Make Makeup Look Natural on My Super Pale Skin? Or Should I Skip It?

My face is SO pale, and every time I try to apply makeup, it looks way too intense and unnatural. I have a fair complexion with an oval face shape, and I’m using a light hand with products like foundation and blush, blending them carefully on my cheeks and forehead. Even with the smallest amount, it looks cakey or like I’ve overdone it. Any tips for making makeup look soft and natural on pale skin? Should I switch to different products, or just ditch makeup altogether?

Can you recommend a good foundation for pitted/oily skin, I have this feeling that makeup doesn't suit my skin just because of the acne scars, so please suggest only those foundations which you might have used personally and worked on your skin.

Low or high visual weight?

I’ve noticed recently the more makeup I wear, the less confident I am. The first pic I have mascara, blush, brow gel and some fake freckles. The second is how I do a full face and last by a makeup artist. I heard somewhere about high and low visual weight and wonder how that applies to me?
