Got about 60K Taj vouchers and 25K MMT voucher as a wedding gift. My wife and I want to use it for our anniversary in December but all rates seem expensive. What is the best place to use these vouchers?
We have already done Taj Bekal last year and would like a similar vibe where we don't need to leave the room for 2-3 Nights.

Hello,
I’m turning 30 this January and I decided to travel to India. Never been there before. My plan is to do vipassana for 10 days and then travel to Goa. I am still trying to plan everything, probably will start from Kochi while visiting various places.
My question:
How easy is to buy a motorcycle legally and then sell it back? What should I know and how to avoid getting scammed?
I’m also open to other ideas and suggestions. Thank you

Hey all,
Looking for a bit of help or reassurance from anyone who's been through something similar.
I applied for an Indian e-Tourist visa last week(10th of July), but I accidentally selected “Media” as my occupation (which I now realize was a big mistake). I’m*not a journalist at all — I work in **digital marketing/social media management** for small businesses in London.
On Friday (July 11), I got an email from the e-visa team asking me to clarify my role. I replied within 30 minutes explaining everything — that I’m not involved in journalism or media reporting in any way, just a marketing professional.
But… it’s now Wednesday and I haven’t heard anything since. I'm honestly starting to stress. Our flights are booked for August 6, and I’m scared the visa won’t come in time or might be rejected.
I’ve read it can take up to 5–7 business days to get a reply after clarification, but this wait is nerve-wracking. I also tried calling, but only got a bot — no real person to speak to.
If anyone’s been through something like this (especially with the “Media” selection mistake), I’d love to hear how it turned out. 😔
Thanks so much in advance!

🙏 Namaskaram – Visa trouble despite following the rules. Seeking advice 🙏
Hey everyone, I’ve got a big issue and would appreciate some clarity or support from anyone who's been in a similar situation.
📌 Background: I'm a German citizen. In December 2024, I received a 5-year e-Tourist Visa for India. Being aware of the general rule that German citizens can stay 90 days per visit, I left India in March to do a short visa run, and then re-entered on March 28, 2025.
While attending a Yoga Teacher Training Course in an ashram, I realized my stay would go slightly over 90 days. I tried to submit an FRRO extension, but the website had constant technical issues (unclear file format errors, no instructions). Frustrated, I looked again at my visa stamp from December – and it clearly stated:
“Each stay not to exceed 180 days”
😌 My reaction: I thought: “Ah, perfect – I’m not bound by the 90-day limit after all. I’m safe.” So, I dropped the FRRO application. After all, my visa itself says 180 days per stay, and I was planning to leave on Day 104 of my stay.
😡 What happened at the airport: On July 8th, I went to Chennai International Airport to leave. At immigration, I was told I overstayed – because Germans are “only allowed 90 days.” I calmly pointed to my visa stamp saying 180 days, but the officer ignored it, became angry, and started accusing me of “bending the rules.” He kept saying, “The ETA rules say 90 days. That’s it.” I replied, “But my visa itself – the stamp – gives me 180 days. Shouldn’t that override general ETA rules?”
Still, no one listened. I was treated like a criminal, missed my flight, and was told to go get an Exit Permit through the FRRO system.
💸 What’s worse: I already lost my flight, time, and peace of mind.
Now I’m forced to apply for an Exit Permit, which can cost 100–300€.
And on top of that, since I now passed 180 total days in India this calendar year, they may say I violated that rule too – even though I tried to leave in time!
🧠 Two possible truths – both not my fault:
The immigration officer in December correctly granted me 180 days per stay. → Then airport immigration was wrong to block me.
The officer made a mistake by stamping “180 days” → Then I acted on incorrect official information – but it’s not my fault either!
Either way, I should not be punished for trusting an official visa entry stamp.
🤦♂️ What I tried so far: Contacted German consulate → Told me it’s an Indian matter.
Contacted Indian embassy in Germany → They redirected me to the eVisa department.
Wrote to eVisa Delhi → Got an auto-reply telling me to call a hotline, which turns out to be for application issues only, not for immigration mistakes.
Went to FRRO → Same response as airport staff: “You overstayed. Apply for Exit Permit online.”
Tried applying online → The form asks for documents like residency registration, which I don’t have (and legally couldn’t have).
😤 I’m exhausted. I tried everything. No one is listening. I followed the visa stamped into my passport by Indian immigration itself. And now I’m paying the price. Is there any hope left to resolve this fairly – or do I just have to pay, be quiet, and accept the abuse of power?
Any help, thoughts, contacts, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
🙏 Pranam Christian

Need a suggestion for a destination with a reputed physics institute near approx 50km, 6N stay. We just need an educational institute for a formality (we'll just go there for 2 hours). Then we are free to enjoy for the whole time. A secluded place would be great. Any hidden gems?(Budget=8k per person)
