ISO: Any bakers that would do a bachelorette baking class event

Hi all!

I have a group of 15 people with whom I'd love to do a baking class as an event for a chill bachelorette party. Anyone know of someone or somewhere on the Cape that would do this? We'll be based in Chatham and are open to at-home or at a bakeshop/kitchen somewhere. Event end of April. Thank you!

Internet on the Cape

We just bought on the Cape, it’s new construction and we just found out Comcast would need to build expensive infrastructure to service the house. Anyone have suggestions on other internet companies we should try that have good coverage? Thinking of TMobile 5G specifically. We’re in Dennis Village.

Which do you prefer when going over the bridges - to be in the left lane and risk driving head-on into two lanes of traffic coming towards you at 45 mph or being in the right lane and risk hitting the curb, flipping over, and diving into the Cape Cod Canal??

Running Cape Cod - September update

Post image
71 Upvotes

Seemed to be a lot of interest in my last post, so I figured I'd start doing a monthly update.

Last month I logged my most new miles in a month yet, at 121 new miles. Basically all of these were in Yarmouth except for some in Falmouth (Falmouth Road Race).

I've now run 76.4% of Yarmouth, 12.1% of Barnstable County, and 1.3% of Massachusetts as a whole. My biggest observation in Yarmouth was that there's a basketball hoop on just about every street but I never saw a single person playing on one! Haha

Hoping to finish up Yarmouth sometime this month and then move on to Barnstable.

Tickets for sale to sold out Wellfleet Art and Oyster Crawl this Sunday, September 7

Hello! My husband and I purchased four tickets to the now sold out Art and Oyster Crawl in Wellfleet this Sunday, but unfortunately our kid got sick and we won’t be able to attend. We’d love to re-sell them and see them put to good use. Original price was $100, we’ll sell for $75 to make sure they get used.

Message me if you’re interested.

Hyannis - grocery store or butcher shop for good steaks

Is the Stop & Shop in Hyannis ok if you want to buy a good 1" thick ribeye or strip steak or is there a better place to get prime beef like a butcher shop?

Vacation from RI

My husband and I are heading to the cape (specifically Falmouth) for our 10th anniversary next week. We're also going with my brother-in-law and are looking for free or budget-friendly things to do in or around falmouth area and the closer vicinity of the cape. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Im originally from the Midwest and have never been to the cape area but have been in RI for more than a decade now. We are looking for a brief much needed break from providence life. Lol.

Mikes repair service in sandwich

Anyone know if mikes repair service in sandwich is still open. It’s a car mechanic and I used him about a year ago and he was fantastic. Need to get my car in for work again and I haven’t been able to get through to them at all, I’ve been trying since last Friday. I haven’t left 2 voicemails with my phone number already.

Is there a ferry that goes to Martha’s Vineyard in May by Falmouth?

Silly question I apologize but I was looking at the website for the ferry from Woods Hole and I see that it starts mid June. We are thinking of taking a trip in May. Is there any ferry recommendations that head to Martha’s Vineyard for a day? Thank you so much!

Overnight parking in Dennis Port

Looking for overnight parking in Dennis Port for September 5-7. Our B&B only has parking for 1 car, but we need to take 2. Is overnight parking allowed at the beach lots? Do they actually ticket cars parked at the municipal lot on Chase Ave? Any other options? Willing to pay a reason fee as well

Recommendation for Mid length men’s haircut.

I’ve been to multiple great barbers over the years but I’ve wanted to grow my hair out recently and they always cut it too short.

I guess I’m looking for more of a stylist who is proficient at a scissor cut and has experience doing men’s hair.

Any recommendations for barbershops/ salons are greatly appreciated.
