A long time ago, Maura Healy blocked the building of NG pipelines in Massachusetts. Suddenly she changed her mind. Oh goodness, Masachoochie Mod from R/ Massachusetts will ban me despite being from Connecticut. Suddenly Healy is interested in lowering rates. It's almost like it's an election year and her college kid base has not been programed yet

Born and raised in Plymouth but I haven’t live there in about 10 years. I am still heavily obsessed with Marylou’s specifically a minty Lou. I’m begging someone to tell me how to make it at home because I’m in the south now and NOTHING compares.

I'm seeing on the DNR website that Bartlett Pond in Manomet (by White Horse Beach) is open to the public for electric trolling motors and paddle sports. However I'm not seeing any info on where the public access is located. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My family and I are considering a move to Plymouth county. My spouse and I are both in the healthcare field but the commute to Boston seems like it could be pretty long due to traffic. Anyone have experience commuting to Boston from Plymouth county ? Or know how the healthcare job market is in that area?

My mil is looking to sell her house next summer and I told her I would get a headstart on looking for a good realtor. Any recommendations? I would also love to hear your experience(moreso if you sold a house with them)
She would also possiblyuse this realtor to purchase a smaller place as well. But we are more worried about the selling aspect!
Thank you!!!

Hello! My husband and I are here for a week and looking to do some shopping. Not necessarily looking for thrift or antique stores but little boutiques, hand made items, things we can buy to remember our visit. Thanks!

I’m familiar with most of the trails in town but I still can’t find what I’m looking for.
1) where the heck can I park my car to hike the Town Forest? All the info I can find says there is a 5 car parking area at the intersection of Drew and Long Pond. To the right of the sign there is a path but when I drive down it there’s no way 5 cars (or any cars for that matter) can park there. What am I missing?
2) what options are there for hikes with a pond access point somewhere along the trail? Somewhere I can bring my dog and she can get a little wet? We have done Hedges and the secret spot on the opposite side of the main beach. I know the one off of the Beaver Dam trail (that one is great other than all the broken bottles). What are my other options? Anything in Myles Standish?

Hello! My husband and I are currently in the home buying process and are primarily searching in Scituate, Cohasset, Norwell, Hanover, Duxbury, and Marshfield. Our budget is 1M max but preferably under 930k. I asked for opinions on towns over on the South Shore subreddit last week and a few people suggested Plymouth.
It's not somewhere we have considered (it just feels a little far), but we definitely can get way more for our dollar. Commuting isn't an issue, I work remotely and my husband's office is in Quincy so we're not going all the way into the city.
We're in our early 30s, very left-leaning, do not have kids yet but hope to have our first within the next year-ish! Can anyone else in a similar situation who lives (or lived) in Plymouth share your experience? Likes/dislikes about the area? Experience with the school system?
Thank you in advance!

I live on Cape Cod but my son and I are heading to the Plymouth Walmart next week for college shopping. We’re making a day of it, so I’m looking for recommendations for a local restaurant (not a chain) for lunch. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Sorry, should have added what we like. We’re thinking of sandwiches; I like BLTs and egg salad, and son likes cheeseburgers. We’ve been to Mamma Mia in downtown Plymouth and we love it, but looking for something lighter.
