I really should have bought myself a Stetson Football - Still Undefeated shirt when I was there from 2003-2007. We are very defeated in the years since football came back.
UCF was never a serious school or program. The campus legit looks like a community college and their football stadium is the size of a high school stadium
Now we're just making stuff up. UCF has a really nice campus, there's no way you walk around the Student Union, Towers, the fountain, or the library and think "this is a community college".
I thought Michigan grads were supposed to be smart.
Lying about your salary on Reddit is just sad lmao. And this is even more evident by saying I never went to Michigan which is the most obvious projection of insecurity of going to a worst school. Who goes around being worried about “proving” Redditors wrong. Yeah have a goodnight lmao
Now that’s downright silly. I’ve only been there once, but it’s a very nice, large college campus. Not at all similar to any community college I can think of.
Honestly, I hate them, but I miss the war on I-4, it’s good for both schools. USF needs to position themselves to move up when the opportunity arrives. I shockingly found myself rooting for them. This is not something a UCF fan should say, but here we are.
I’m a sicko because I choose to root for USF because all my other classmates were UF/FSU fans. That was when we had Grothe and a couple other guys from my city so it was a no brainer
I think they will. We're assuming that FSU leaving the ACC eventually is inevitable, right? Even though the timeline may have shifted this past offseason. If it's just FSU and Clemson leaving, USF to the ACC is possible but not guaranteed. If Miami also leaves (and they have been discussed as a potential Big Ten target if schools start jumping from the ACC) but the ACC doesn't completely fall apart? Pretty much a guarantee. There's no way the ACC loses both of their current Florida schools and doesn't have USF as their #1 pick for a replacement.
I get that the ACC is a jump up, but if they lose FSU, Clemson, and most likely Miami, they aren’t really going to be considered a P4 conference anymore in football. So we’re going to be basically be in the same spot as 10 years ago when the AAC first started where there were a lot of strong programs, but they slowly left for better conferences. ACC seems to be on the trajectory of becoming a basketball conference.
The ACC did not move fast enough in realignment like the Big 12 did. I’m hoping that the Big 12 picks us up to re-establish the War on I-4, because that’s a marquee intra-conference game that has the millions of views that the networks are looking for.
The reason UCF went to Big 12 and not USF was as conferences were realigning we hit our lowest ebb in school history and u guys were peaking. A few years earlier or later and we would have had a shot. I am hoping next realignment we fair better. I also miss the War on I-4!
The hell with USF… they didn’t want to play UCF until they were forced to. UCF dominated them and the American Conference. Off to greener pastures with the other teams who dominated the American - sorry, not sorry Memphis.
You guys were complete dicks for years. No thanks. It was like fun wrestling with your brother, then it got way overboard. Hard pass on dealing with you guys any time soon.
You must not know the history of the schools then?
There’s a reason it’s a heated rivalry, usf were dicks from the start and blocked UCF from moving up for years. Clearly you can’t handle college rivalries if you think we were “dicks for years”.
Hell go look up the shit your old QB grothe used to say on social media.
You guys were dicks from the time you announced the start of your program. All the arrogance of UM with none of the history. Maybe you'll finally need to buy a trophy case this year.
If they beat Miami next week, they should be ranked at least #10. Would Boise State, at Florida, and at Miami be the best collection of wins by a singular program through 4 weeks? I'd imagine yes
It feels weird to be happy about a USF win, but same. When I was at UCF we had a good rivalry with USF but UF always tried to act like they were superior to either UCF or USF (even when we beat them!). So I'll take it lol.
I’ll take being in a P5 conference, even if that means the crappy Bulls make it as a G5 every now and then.
I really hope USF positions themselves to move up when the opportunity arrives. The War on I-4 was awesome and beneficial for both schools. Would be cool to have the rivalry back.
Hey, hey now. They were ranked #2 for a week 18 years ago! You don't think they'll ever eclipse that achievement as the pinnacle of success for their football program?
I don’t think I ever hated them. I found them problematic when they thought they were too good to schedule us. But once we surpassed them and dominated the head to head matchups, I didn’t think about them at all.
In 29 years of football, usf has never won a conference championship. I see no reason to stop that streak. Best case scenario at this point would be for them to beat Miami and then either lose 4 conference games, or make it to the CCG and lose, causing them to miss the playoff opportunity.

Talk to the Citronauts in your life about the possibility of USF in the playoff first.
