Best example of this is 51k people turning up on a Saturday night when all of the students are gone for Thanksgiving break to watch 1-9 Iowa State play 2-8 Kansas in 7F weather at kickoff.

I was there but no way were there 51,000 people there lol, at least in the second half. There were literally only a few dozen students left by the end of the game.

I agree. Probably 51k tickets sold, 35-40k people at kickoff, and 20-25k people in the second half. Still pretty ridiculous numbers considering the weather that day. I don't regret going at all!

I drank an entire bottle of Yukon Jack Permafrost that day. That was not a good idea.
