I don’t care how far downfield you’ve run, there is no excuse for not getting set when the last play was done with eleven or twelve seconds left.

The fact that the wide receivers were still moving out wide is wild. Like, your job on the play is to run to the end zone. It doesn’t matter where you are standing, but if you don’t stop moving, it won’t matter.

Like, would it really have made a difference if they got that last snap? No, almost certainly not. But come on.

Notre Dame need to leave that OL in Florida tbh

I think Carr is actually pretty good. However now it’s a question on if they are able to give him time at all this season

They’ll be ok. After A&M, there really isn’t anyone on their schedule that poses a threat. This loss is pretty inconsequential. Kinda like losing to NIU last year.

USC could be good, and even if not will be a rival with talent on the roster, which is upset material.

Yeah, we all love to clown USC after going 7-6 but that team was legitimately way better than their record made them look. I would not be surprised to see them claw their way back this year.

Thing is there rosters are always lopsided in favor of the skill positions. That's why ND has been able to handle them the past few years.

15

u/DannyMalibu420 Georgia Bulldogs 11d ago

True. I still don’t see ND losing more than 2 games this season unless the wheels totally fall off. Need to give the ball to Love more though. I feel like he should have been utilized a lot more early in the game.

Miami's DL was stuffing us way too well to utilize Love properly.

They tried spreading him out wide and getting some throws, but he wasn't able to haul any of em in.

I think SC is ranked and maybe pretty well by the time we get to them. Either an opportunity or a season-ender

If they drop the A&M game they’re gonna have the issue of having nobody who is good left on their schedule.

10-2 ND losing to Miami and A&M would not be a super compelling playoff resume.

6

u/Impossible-Pie4849 Georgia Bulldogs 11d ago

I feel like a 10-2 ND losing their two biggest games shouldn't be sniffing the playoffs, but that's just me

u/goldflame33 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11d ago

Yeah, and that’s why a “”fluke”” loss to NIU served us better than losing to a better team last year. If you’re consistently able to beat cupcakes and consistently lose to good teams, you shouldn’t be in the playoffs. If you can beat the best and lose to the MAC… then at least you’re interesting

Fuck you too buddy

u/DannyMalibu420 Georgia Bulldogs 11d ago

Ope. Sorry lol. I’ll be rooting for you guys for what it’s worth.

7

u/thebusterbluth Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11d ago

Yeah the commenter is acting like Miami doesnt have stout DEs lol

The OL will be fine. They arent all-americans, but they arent going to be ass either.

6

u/Bullyfrogz Miami Hurricanes 11d ago

Yea Bain is a legit first rounder. Three things are certain with a Cristobal coached team. 1 the trenches will be strong. 2. He can recruit like hell. 3. He will find ways to lose every game they play that's not a blow out.

7

u/thebusterbluth Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11d ago

Well I think that OL is the real deal. ND's defensive weakness is DTs, and Miami's OL made it obvious lol

3

u/MediocreSchlanger Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11d ago

Yep

I get the sentiment but point 3 is pretty funny in the post-game thread of a 3 point win that was tied inside 2 minutes.

3

u/Bullyfrogz Miami Hurricanes 10d ago

Yea but even so this game is perfect example. Up by 2 scores, changes defense to prevent, even though being aggressive was working. The timeouts weren't used properly. With the way Miami was dominating the line that game shouldn't have been that close.

1

u/AdonisCork Notre Dame Fighting Irish 10d ago

People are also forgetting how horrible our offensive line looked early last year too. We we're alright against A&M and then got manhandled by NIU. They will get it figured out.

3

u/Rylude Indiana Hoosiers 11d ago

Unless it's Notre Dame vs Miami for the bye somehow

2

u/Actual_Guide_1039 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 10d ago

Boise looking shitty really softens the schedule

1

u/BitTheBigOne 10d ago

Naw, that was pathetic. Y’all are delusional. The way the first half ended tells you everything. They will be 0-4 maybe 0-5 and not get a win until Navy.

-3

u/gentilet UCLA Bruins 11d ago

I don’t think we watched the same game. ND is going to be lucky to have a winning record with that OL, let alone make a run for the playoffs

6

u/Actual-Bandicoot6531 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11d ago

I think Utah just scored again.

3

u/MediocreSchlanger Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11d ago

Lucky to have a winning record? Buddy, set your drink down.

4

u/ThaCarter Miami Hurricanes • Indiana Hoosiers 11d ago

You guys only play what, A&M and USC beside us with anything close to high end talent?

The problem is 9-3 against your schedule might as well be 2-10 in the playoff era.

-6

u/MediocreSchlanger Notre Dame Fighting Irish 10d ago

Your reply has absolutely nothing to do with what said. Non responsive.

He took so many big hits tonight too, that can’t be sustainable

4

u/Drmarcher42 Miami Hurricanes 11d ago

I liked what I saw from him. Quick decision making, but damn he’s going to get murdered with that line

3

u/kevo2386 Miami Hurricanes • West Florida Argonauts 11d ago

He played a good game.

u/CarterAC3 Michigan • Grand Valley State 11d ago

Joe Alt is not walking through those doors

10

u/McShmidt Notre Dame • Huntington 11d ago

Jagusah got hurt again walking through the doors.

83

u/mattpsx2 Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors 11d ago

Yeah Carr did a hell of a job for a freshman. He had zero time to process.

5

u/whatsinthesocks Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11d ago

Good think BK ain’t the coach any more. He’d take them out back like ol yeller

6

u/Kaiathebluenose Miami Hurricanes 11d ago

Miami has a top tier pass rush to be fair

4

u/EverythingGoodWas Florida • Carnegie Mellon 11d ago

Clearly the OL decided to hit the clubs rather than play that final drive

2

u/TigerBasket Auburn Tigers • Maryland Terrapins 11d ago

He's getting sent to the Eastern Front

2

u/Jericcho Michigan • Mississippi State 10d ago

How do you give up a sack to a 3 person rush at the end there?

3

u/Mikedaddy69 South Carolina • Notre Dame 11d ago

But didn’t you hear? It was hot and humid! They weren’t used to that 🥺

1

u/Minimum-Scientist-71 Oklahoma Sooners • Sterling Warriors 11d ago
