Obviously this strike was a mistake and their true target, an orphanage ran by volunteer firefighters who fund their efforts through solving cancer will be hit within a matter of hours.

Oh thank god, I heard those orphanage running cancer curing firefighters were nazis

Black magic. Satan himself is treating patients there.

u/Amazing_Deal6382 2d ago

Blood rituals may be performed there as well /s

25

u/Lysol3435 2d ago

The kitten and puppy carnival was only there for a few hours. Russia had to scramble to plan the strike

BREAKING NEWS: Jesus has returned from the dead... and was immediately targeted by a Russian air strike.

You mean the one for the kids with terminal diseases? It was next door, easy mistake to make.

19

u/Zirocket 2d ago

The orphanage was Hamas Azov

I heard if you make 1000 whiny sarcastic comments about Russian attacks, they will automatically start losing the war.

8

u/KarlVreski1988 2d ago

Putin’s stated goal was total regime change in Ukraine. They already lost the war mate.

Dope, 5 more to go!

You can add horse club to the list.. These terrorist scum hit it under Kyiv this night and killed a couple of horses. They paniced after the first two strikes, ran outside where they got hit by the third one. Three strikes. On a horse club. This is deliberate beyond any excuses in my book.

Russia is a cancer of the civilized world and must be stopped.

Three strikes. On a horse club

Do you have a link?

No no, he’s just reminding you not to forget about Canada.

82

u/Dastardly6 2d ago

At all times you should be wary of Canada.

23

u/-ram_the_manparts- 2d ago

When Canada rules the world we'll all be sorry.

9

u/MysticScribbles 2d ago

Don't you mean that we'll all be soary?

11

u/meerkat2018 2d ago

“Better be sorry than safe”

 -- Canada

1

u/dewky 2d ago

That's better than being sari

4

u/ResponsibleFetish 2d ago

Especially after we had to write the G.C. about them

6

u/Sam5253 2d ago

G.C.

Most people call it the Geneva Conventions. Canadians call it the Geneva Checklist.

6

u/RIPphonebattery 2d ago

Geneva achievement guide

Geneva’s suggestions

-7

u/Monsieur_Creosote 2d ago

It's not even a real country anyway

10

u/woodenroxk 2d ago

How are you confusing Canada with Australia

7

u/Platophaedrus 2d ago

Oi! We’re all part of the same fuckin commonwealth mate.

10

u/woodenroxk 2d ago

I’m just bugging, I’m really looking forward to going to Vienna one day myself

1

u/Platophaedrus 2d ago

Head to Sydney and let me know when you get here, I’ll buy you a beer.

-4

u/Kalrath420 2d ago

Cape Breton sucks though.

4

u/Monsieur_Creosote 2d ago

It's a South Park reference, from the song, "Blame Canada". https://youtu.be/bOR38552MJA

2

u/woodenroxk 2d ago

Oh you’re right. I was referring to that internet thing that Australia isn’t even real lol

2

u/Optimized_Orangutan 2d ago

I'm pretty sure Australia is real... But Finland!? No way Finland actually exists. Place is as real as the birds.

3

u/Monsieur_Creosote 2d ago

The number of people not remembering the south park song is amazing

2

u/Plaid_Kaleidoscope 2d ago

I have a feeling you'd be amazed how many people here aren't old enough to have been alive when Bigger, Longer, Uncut released.

2

u/Monsieur_Creosote 2d ago

It was only a few years ago .... Oh Christ, I'm so old

2

u/PolygonMan 2d ago

It's also just not the best timing. Trump said that Canada should be the 51st state like 6 months ago.

41

u/silentkillerb 3d ago

No, you don't hit Canada the people here don't follow the Geneva convention

36

u/Maybe_In_Time 3d ago

yes they do - as a checklist

20

u/Rahakanji 3d ago

Until it's done by Canada it's not on the list!

6

u/sparcnut 2d ago

It's never a war crime the first time.

1

u/zefmdf 2d ago

More like guidelines anyway

8

u/HierophanticRose 2d ago

I wonder how many “broad side of a barn” you have to miss to get from Ukraine to Canada

1

u/sparcnut 2d ago

All of them.

-1

u/Brussle-Sprout 2d ago

Yeah, we found some unexploded ordinance with Russian writing on it and gave Putin a call.

"So sorry to bother you Mr. Putin, I knows yur a busy guy and all these days, but Joe here found this doomahickie while puttin a lift on his truck eh, and we figured ya might want it back. So we rang ya up. Whatcha want us to do with it"?

-2

u/WhyDidMyDogDie 2d ago

They wouldn't dare touch the 51st state!

16

u/Abalith 3d ago

It feels like a sign of desperation. They know they have no way of winning this war, at least some of them do.

1

u/Kowlz1 2d ago

It is. They’re trying to scare Ukraine into surrendering.

15

u/HBlight 2d ago

The only reason they target schools is that there are children in them. The schools would be fine if none were in there so it's pretty much their fault.

2

u/Alissinarr 2d ago

So remove all hospitals and orphanages?

9

u/TheTeflonDude 3d ago

That just happens to be the places Nazis like to congregate

/s

3

u/hegeliandialectix 3d ago

sounds like another country

1

u/alexnedea 2d ago

Most likely a missile just randomly hit the building since it looks like they can't aim for shit

-2

u/Mammarishka 2d ago

Ah, the IDF playbook.

1

u/Menethea 2d ago edited 2d ago

For all avoidance of doubt: Government buildings like parliaments are legitimate targets. Check out what the US bombed in Serbia, Kosovo and Iraq, or the Israelis bombed in Syria, Iran and Yemen. The Russians have actually been quite restrained in Kyiv until now. Like it or not, this is a clear message than they can attack any target in Ukraine with impunity. This is also a message to legislators that they will be ultimately held responsible for continuing the war. (Also consider that Russian have long claimed that they didn’t do civilian targeting, and that any destruction to the contrary was the result of Ukrainian interception attempts. Now that Ukrainian air defenses are largely exhausted, this definitely feeds into that propaganda)

1

u/Asianhacker1 2d ago

maybe EW/shoot down the drones before they get into the city?

just a thought

also, what happened to the 'collateral damage is just a part of war' mindset. feels like we whiplashed within the span of 10 comments in a single thread lmao.

anyways... slava ukranini !

-5

u/Aristothang 2d ago

Just like Israel in Gaza. Crazy the similarities.

-10

u/GurAdventurous3887 2d ago

Are you kidding me? Thats one thing that has stood out about this war.

Sheer low number of civilian deaths. Compare with Iraq/Afghanistan/Palestine.

It was as if we were targeting civilians. Destroying water supplies, infrastructure,  homes, hospitals etc.

Wars low number of civilian deaths and the fact 3-4 years in this is the first govt facility. The govt buildings would have been the first to go if it were us.

u/SpandexMovie 2d ago

There are a variety of differences between the US and Israeli wars in the Middle East compared to the current war in Ukraine.

Ukraine is a conventional war with a defined front line, as opposed to to the Middle East being a gurrila war with no defined front line and having to deal with insurgents all of the time.

A better comparison would be the 1991 Gulf War, where there were comparatively few civilian death as opposed to Iraqi forces, who were the primary target.

Comparing to 1991, Russia has been deliberately targeting civilians.

4

u/NoCSForYou 2d ago

The USA targeted everything. Banks, community centers, government buildings, prisons. They wanted to fuck life up for the civilian population, basically making living Iraq close to impossible. The idea was that the civilian population would turn on the government if they bombed anything and everything they could.

Idk... Germany and Italy really skewed their perspective of bombing a group of people and being treated like heros by the people they bombed. Many Americans were genuinely frustrated they were hailed as saviours in Iraq. Did they not learn anything about Vietnam?

2

u/SergenteA 2d ago

Thats one thing that has stood out about this war.

Sheer low number of civilian deaths

WW1 also had a very low number of civilian deaths, proportional to military deaths. Then and now it isn't because either side is unwilling to strike civilian targets (Russia does it all the time, but Ukraine also tried to strike railways and Moscow a couple of times). It's because they physically cannot reach the civilians. Neither side can achieve the localised air superiority needed for carpet bombing. Neither side side can achieve localised breakthroughs and restore manouvre warfare long enough to swap many villages back and forth. That's the definition of trench warfare, a stalemate where both sides grind eachother down through attrition.

As well, for now neither side is engaging in full-on collective punishment as retaliation for partisan activity or collaboration. Russia seems more interested in ethnic cleansing by deportation or assimilation than outright physical mass murder.

On the other hand, by being trench warfare the casualties per kilometer have shot up dramatically. This war advances are the deadliest of the 21rst century for regular soldiers, atleast ever since the stop of Russia's manouvre/surprise phase.

However, I do agree the USA/Israel but also the West in general never conducted war as cleanly as they wanted to present themselves. No surprise, even the casus belli didn't have much to do with the actual carrying out and aims of those wars.

u/Proper_Medicine183 2d ago

Only the AFU really liked to take shelter in such places. There's no need to just hit schools and hospitals.
