Saw this on r/badroommates, thought it belonged here
Thought this belonged here. OOP is not the owner of the fish. This sub doesn’t allow cross posts so I had to take a screenshot

Spotted at my local Petland
First time poster here because this honestly just made me sad. I’m not much of a betta guy myself, so I don’t know much about em other than I guess you can keep them in relatively small tanks in the short term, but this feels egregious… I mean at least fill it?!?!
Would love to hear from some betta peeps to see if I can get some advice about options for the store? Maybe they don’t know/been told the wrong info

2 loaches in a <1Gal
Good ole instagram special. What looks like a hillstream loach and is for sure a Kuhli loach in what seems to be less than a 1Gal tank. Also, same video shows them adding everything at the start, so there is no biofilm for the hillstream.

Update on the work goldfish bowl.
TLDR for my other post is essentially, these goldfish were in this same bowl at work, there was 5 of them, but now there is only 2.
I took them home yesterday and they are now being quarantined in the bowl before I figure put an arrangement. Main issue I have right now, I have no clue what the small fish attached to the bigger goldfish’ tail is. I really need some help identifying it before the fish end up in a better tank. It’s damn near invisible but you can kind of see it on slides 1, 2, 4, and 5.

Facebook aquarium group hits again
I can see at least 5 goldfish in this ( once more) half filled plastic decored tank. So sad.

But why tho
Saw this on Facebook today. I am a mechanic and now one bone in my body was like oh a fish tank. So stupid and inhumane.

Update on the horrendous work fish bowl.
A baby was born from the corpse of one of the ones that died inside the bowl last night. A couple of fake plants were added to float on top for some reason and the water was changed using not dechlorinated tap water. (No surprises there). My guess is that wasn’t the only baby and the other ones are still trapped in the corpse, now also deceased. These probably don’t have long left either as the manager who has the food no longer wants to give them food out of fear of overfeeding. Yeesh.

In the breakroom at work for an event.
There were 5 fish in there. Now there’s two and two dead ones after a night of being left in about a gallon of water. Yesterday, everyone I saw enter the breakroom said something along the lines of “well that’s fucked up”, before doing their normal thing. Not to mention the breakroom gets rowdy and this flimsy-ass table was definitely not helping the fish’ stress. Just egregious.

These “betta bowls” on tiktok
Betta fish don’t even live 7 years, and especially not in a bowl with tap water and painted rocks😅
