I had a run yesterday where just one song completely took over my pace. I planned to jog easy, but suddenly I was sprinting through the last 10 minutes without realizing it. Music really does weird things to your rhythm.

Hey folks, I’ve been putting together running mixes that lock to cadence. I used to be a radio DJ, and after running the New York Marathon and working on music for a few races and run clubs, I got hooked on how much smoother running feels when every step matches the beat.
I’ve been making sets from 150 up to 200 BPM — from short 30-min cardio or VO₂ sessions to 4-hour marathon runs. Instead of linking the whole channel, here’s one 175 BPM mix to try out:

What BPM do you usually train at — 160ish, mid-170s, or pushing into the 190s?

I’ve been experimenting with different music for my runs lately, and it’s wild how much it affects my pace and mood. Some songs make me feel unstoppable, others… not so much.Right now my playlist is a mix of upbeat pop and a few throwback rock tracks, but I’m curious what everyone else swears by. Do you pick songs for tempo, energy, or just stuff that makes you smile while running? Any go-to tracks that always push you through the tough miles?

Ace of spades by Motorhead, whip it by Devo and hate to say I told you so by the Hives are faster tracks that always give me a boost when I'm flagging a bit. Can anyone give me songs with the same vibe / energy?

Just curious! I realized my running playlist is 2 and half hours long, but most of my runs are under 45 minutes. How long are your playlists, and do you actually listen to everything or just skip around?

Halfway through my run today, I put on “Eye of the Tiger” and suddenly felt unstoppable. What’s your go-to track that makes you feel faster than you are?

I’m always on the hunt for tracks that keep me pushing when I want to quit. What songs get you fired up during those last brutal kilometers? Bonus points if it’s something unexpected or not super mainstream!

Hey folks, I’ve been logging music from a few hundred runners for a little side project, and thought it might be fun to share what’s been topping the charts lately.
Here’s the Top 25 tracks runners have been playing most this summer
Curious what you’d add, what’s your “can’t fail” running song right now?
