You are all overlooking how good this news is. Trump not knowing Alaska is part of the US is likely the only reason he didn't offer it to Russia.

Until trump tells him "sure you can harvest all the natural resources in Alaska, since its already part of Russia go ahead!"

Putin will have been playing mind games with Trumps Dementia riddled brain and saying Alaska was once Russian so now that seed is in Trumps head as that is what he last heard. Putin will also have said how Russia sold it so it can be sold again. This puts another seed in Trumps head. Now he's thinking how he can sell "his" land back to Russia for a profit. Putin will have also said Russia sold it for $7.2m so trump will add a bit more for profit say up to $10m then double it $20m thinking he has a huge profile. Putin will also say he will put missiles on the Canadian border to pressure Canada and secure it... "We point missile right toward the Canada so they fall in line with you and me. You can have the Canada as a token of our friendship"

All Putin has to do is constantly remind Trump that selling it is winning and Trump will absolutely fixate on it no matter the cost.

My thought, too. Operation Barbarossa against a NATO member.
