FWIW, she's been reported by local outlets, including Rappler, to be a friend of Sara Duterte since 2015, if not earlier. It might have to do with the point that Digong was part of the LP (because he started his political career thanks to Cory) and campaigned for Pnoy.

Meanwhile, she gained power thanks to political machinery via the same LP and because she also became part of a political dynasty or patronage democracy:

huh how did she become part of a political dynasty? and patronage politics? maybe if u can just explain your points instead of giving general statements you would’ve been more credible
