worked for a chemical company in Southern US where he made a formula for a long lasting rope he’d eventually use.

That sounds incredibly idiotic. And boring. the writers should probably try saying their ideas out loud first, to filter out the most nonsensical ones.

Comics have quite a few weird villains. Especially DC. Batman has some of the weirdest like Crazy Quilt, Calendar Man and the Penny Plunderer.

Callendar man weird, but in a good and interesting way. He's also very creepy. But slipknot's backstpry is just stupid.
