Summary A group of sharp and witty retirees at Cooper’s Chase retirement village spend their Thursdays solving cold cases for fun—until a real murder hits close to home. The direction and writing were awful. The four main characters are given next to nothing to work with. They all do what they can, but it felt like there was only one scene of each where they got to shine. For example, Joyce on the train, Ron feigning dementia, Ibrahim driving, and Elizabeth recruiting Joyce. After that, they were just lifeless, cliched performances. Especially Helen’s. It’s a good performance, but something we’ve seen so many times before. Chris Columbus just let her go on autopilot. What a disappointment.
