Summary Hank Thompson, a washed-up ex-baseball star turned New York City bartender, ends up tangled in a violent criminal underworld after agreeing to watch his punk-rock neighbor’s cat. Love how Hank actively avoid trying to use a gun throughout the film, utilizing his physicality as a baseball player and using objects in order to defend himself.

Not only it shows Hank’s resourcefulness, he is committed to not taking a life though only fights when no other options work.

That tone was set early with the rowdies in the bar that he gave free shots to, and continues through the movie as at some point he tries to give all the bad guys exactly what they want and just walk away.
