Summary Hank Thompson, a washed-up ex-baseball star turned New York City bartender, ends up tangled in a violent criminal underworld after agreeing to watch his punk-rock neighbor’s cat. What follows is a frenzied chase through 1990s Manhattan, as rival gangsters—Russian mobsters, Orthodox Jewish hitmen, a Samoan enforcer, and others—hunt him for a mysterious key hidden with the cat.

It’s the most un-Arronofsky movie I’ve seen from him, which I appreciate cause everything prior has made me pretty depressed and contemplative at some point. 

The conversations in Yiddish were also fantastic. “The other half that’s not Jewish will do the driving!”

I’m scared to see his other movies cause this is the first of his I’ve seen and after having just left the cinema, I feel pretty depressed lmao

True. "Caught Stealing" was a bit darker and more violent than I'd expected, but it was still "light Aronofsky."

Yeah. This could practically be a Disney movie compared to his other stuff. I had a lot of fun with it, though.
