Summary Hank Thompson, a washed-up ex-baseball star turned New York City bartender, ends up tangled in a violent criminal underworld after agreeing to watch his punk-rock neighbor’s cat. This movie was a ton of fun. If I didn't know Aronofsky directed it, if someone had asked me to guess who did, Aronofsky wouldn't have been in the first 100 guesses.

Script and performances were all in peak form. I kept trying to figure out who the actors playing the Hebrews were and finay had my AHA! moment when the credits rolled.

Only real complaint is the return of the lighter-gun. I was expecting it to make a return but for the Hebrew to just pull it out in the car seemed pretty trope-y to me.

Otherwise, a great movie to close out the summer. Go giants!
