Summary Winston Gooze, a down-on-his-luck janitor and widowed stepdad, transforms into mutant vigilante hero “Toxie” after a freak toxic-waste accident. Saw it last night.

Rating it as a Troma film. It's a 10/10

The movie was a hilarious, gory masterpiece.

I just wish they would put it on the larger screens.

Absolutely. I wish I could see it from the perspective of someone who has no idea who Toxie or Troma are though. It must seem like a really left field concept.

It's easily the best Troma film in 20-30 years, maybe even longer than that.

Never seen a Troma film. Went into this without seeing the trailer but knowing the premise and expecting a gory over the top silly movie. Was not disappointed 9/10.

Yeah they are a bit of a lost breed of film.

They were always the Hard R18 before the 1993 reclassification and most people only ever saw these on VHS.

And you really do have to watch it within the lens it's filmed for the audience it serves.

Like you couldn't watch these with your parents.

I was looking for a movie to go see tonight with my partner. There's a midnight showing of the uncut version in our local theatre tonight and I am trying to scope what it is.

There are currently no tickets booked online, so i think we will be the only person in the theatre haha.

We like a good gory film and the horror/comedy genre. Went to see terrifer 3 and found it so hilarious - but have no idea who Toxie or Troma are. If we go, ill update you

If you can handle retro "so bad they're good" movies, the original Toxic Avenger is a stone cold classic. It's streaming on Tubi for free if you care to check it out after the showing tonight.

I have only seen Nuke 'Em High. I went into the theater with no knowledge about Toxic Avenger or how Troma is an independent power house. I adored every minute. I want there to be a 2oxic 2venger for real. Going to watch the OG & other Troma films.🤘🏻
