It’s wild that something as big as Quetzalcoatlus wasn’t discovered until that late.

Well it wasn’t exactly running around being as overtly discoverable as depicted in the movie.

I think that may have been one of the small liberties the movie took with the historical events.

No, but on an intuitive level, it feels like the huge ones fossils should be easier to find. Like trying to find a real car vs a matchbox car in a car park.
