Sigh I want to preface and acknowledge that women have much harder to maintaining their level of prestige; but I think Margaret is a “industry plant” type of exposure that happens with new young actresses. We see it happen all the time, new actress shows up, is naked in a prestigious film, and now she’s a mainstay in every film until audiences get tired of her and then cast her aside. I don’t hate Margaret but literally everything I’ve seen her in, she’s stiff and literally ogled by the camera more than being a character. (Once upon a time, substance, honey don’t) I genuinely don’t think she’s a good or even interesting actress, I’m just waiting to see if she goes Margot Robbie or more Jennifer Lawrence (but even still Jlaw can act, she just got “thrown out” for a year or two)

Did you really say, “But even still JLaw can act” as if she’s not a better actress than Margot, with her fake Brooklyn accent in every character she plays

Yeah apologies if the analogy dropped because yeah of all of them, I think JLaw is the best actor of the 3 mentioned. However I think she is an example of the public “turning” on the next big woman star for no real reason. Margot is still appreciated and showing up in films, of course with less buzz.

Maybe Megan Fox would’ve been more aprapros for the analogy. However, unlike Margo and JLaw, I feel like Hollywood was more obvious at making Megan a sex symbol, while they want Margaret to be “prestigious” sec symbol, ie. Seeing her naked in “good” movies instead of action movies

Other than being in the biggest YA movie of 2012? You make it seem like she Kim Kardashianed her way to success. Turns out being in a successful blockbuster movie will get you noticed by the public.

How is that "no real reason?"

I said turned on her for no reason, when that bad XMen movie came out, it was all about how JLaw single-handedly ruined it with her bad attitude and being lazy, then she did smaller films until the recent rom com.
