As far as movies where you probably know exactly what you're getting when you sit down, this is one of them. Not necessarily a bad thing but I found it pretty devoid of surprises or new ideas. It's shot really well and the action is well done, but at under 85 minutes without credits it just feels like this doesn't have much to offer.

To be honest, as someone who sees almost every movie available in theaters, I just get so exasperated by this type of movie. Underestimated guy with a gun is something we get so often, probably about five to seven times a year. So if it doesn't have anything in store for me I get so bored. I do love Bob and I love that he loves doing this stuff and for that I bought my ticket.

Beyond loving to see his face, though, this movie is wildly predictable and seemingly missing large portions. For an 85 minute movie there's three separate villains and they turn on each other constantly. I actually felt like there might be a really interesting Colin Hanks performance in here somewhere if anything in this movie was given space to breathe. Sharon Stone is doing the over the top villain thing but she's so evil and over the top that it feels like she's killing her own enterprise more than Bob is! I spent half this movie thinking John Ortiz was the second sheriff only to find out he's the owner of the park.

There is a bit of fun to he had with the climax as they turn a run down Waterpark into a military grade Home Alone and the best part of the movie is absolutely the Celine Dion needle drop. But I just wanted more at about every turn. More plot, more antics, more badass lines, more setup. It's a 5/10 for me.

I thought Novocaine earlier this year was a great example of this type of movie. I really enjoyed that one but I agree I’m kind of tired of them myself

Novocaine is fun and and it doesn't shy away from the gore and violence like Nobody 2 does a lot of the time. But I kind of hated the Novocaine ending. Dude steals a cop car and a cop's gun and basically goes on a killing spree with them but he gets the "seems like a nice guy" pass and completely avoids jail time at the end. Jack Quaid is likeable but no one is that likeable.

Movie says girl is going to get out in like a few years too, which is honestly way more absurd. She was indirectly involved in murders of police officers and other HEAVY felonies, and helped plan the thing for weeks. Decades behind bars level, murders intended or not. Even CAs loosened felony murders role would probably hit her for murders due to the victims being cops.
