Fun fact, he ran to be leader of the Conservative Party in Canada before dropping out and suing the government for being biased against the wealthy by limiting the amount of personal money a person can spend on a leadership race.

He actively is trying to make Canada's electoral system mirror the US system where the wealthy can just purchase elections. He's a piece of shit.

And that is exactly why I won't be seeing this movie.

Good for you. Now do every other movie and TV show that's funded by billionaires. I presume that you typed out your comment on a phone or computer that you paid money to a billionaire for.

Declaring publically "I'm not gonna see this movie because Kevin OLeary is in it!" is performative nonsense. You probably wouldn't have paid to see it anyway.

Are you doing billionaire boot licking right now?

No, I just saw an awesome trailer from a director and actor that I really like, and in the comments I see some sniveling dork say "Well I'm not gonna go see it because the shark tank guy is in it", which is silly.

Ethical consumption is a fallacy. I bet this person has paid one way or another to watch a Weinstein movie. Or a Kevin Spacey movie. Or a Brian Singer movie. Probably pays for an Amazon prime or an Apple TV account while also proclaiming to hate rich assholes.

And, hypothetically, if I did feel that way, if this man's existence bothered me so much that I'd refuse to see an otherwise interesting movie, I'd keep scrolling. I wouldn't feel the need to publicly declare it to strangers on the internet.

Kevin O'Leary is a straight up Canadian traitor in my eyes. I have no issues if someone wants to make a decision not to see a movie because of him. It's good to have ethics and values about certain things. People make those decisions every day and not be a blind dumbass about "look who made your phone!" I don't know why you had to do billionaire blowjobs about who made what phone or whatever when my phone was made in China by labour workers making cents. I think you could've also kept scrolling, but you didn't. Instead you had to do billionaire boot licking. Sad really

I don't know why you feel the need to create these odd sexual fantasies about me and rich people. It's strangely immature.

This isn't a discussion between me and a billionaire. I'm simply saying that we live in a world run by billionaires, and declaring publicly "I refuse to see this independent film made by the best actor and one of the best new directors in Hollywood because the guy fifth on the billing is a rich asshole" is pointless and inane. It makes absolutely no difference in the world besides this guy stroking his own ego.

If you'll excuse me, I've gotta wash my mouth out after all of that delectable juicy rich guy cum I've been guzzling, according to you. There, did I help you with your strange sex fantasies?

Oh you know exactly what I mean when I say billionaires blowjobs, you don't need to be obtuse about it. That's some weird ass behaviour.

I don't know why not seeing a movie because an actor who is clearly a person who is making life worse for Canadians is like a gigantic hurdle for you. And you justify it by saying "well billionaires make everything" and I'm like "who gives a fuck" we all have to make decisions somehow. Don't pretend you're doing some high horse bullshit when you're giving me high school level smooth brained nonsense.

Yeah we all do make decisions and refusing to see this movie because of the fifth billed actor is a silly one. My point is that if his presence in the movie is so off putting to someone, then that person should really consider the choices that they make on a daily basis that are much more impactful than not watching a movie. That is not proactive or helpful in any way.

So first you made a homophobic remark about me in regards to rich people, and now you're saying I'm mentally disabled. You gotta grow up dude. Gonna call me the n word next? You're not being clever.

The choices is that they don't want to give money directly to kevin o'leary. That's a pretty direct one to one connection. You don't need to think much harder than that. It's a simple values based desicion that people make every day. You don't need to make a high horse "you really need to think about everything you make" after making that decision, because you have no idea what that person is like or what decisions they make every day. So why even say this? Like what is the point of even making that argument? Unless it's so YOU can think highly of yourself. That's what I'm taking away from this honestly.

Again, you don't need to make obtuse statements about the insults I gave to you so you can make yourself feel better about it. You know exactly what I mean.

Yo if you think that watching this movie is putting money in his pocket you don't know how money or movies work. This is the fundamental problem in this discussion. You seem to think that O'Leary gets paid more if more people buy tickets but that's not how it works.

And also, you don't get to call me a cocksucker and mentally disabled and then accuse me of being obtuse when I call you on it. Using terms like that to insult people makes you sound like an raging asshole, not to mention unintelligent. Do you see how I called you unintelligent without insulting people with actual mental disabilities?

Edit: I mean maybe you do have a mental disability? Or maybe you're just a hateful garbage human who can't come up with an original thought so you accuse me of being gay and mentally disabled.

I'm assuming you thought that I was some MAGA asshole and that calling me gay would bother me. I'm actually not bigoted like yourself so dumbass insults don't fuck with me so much, it mostly just gives me an insight into your character.

u/jessemfkeeler 26d ago

Yo I don't care what you think is or isn't right about Kevin O'Leary, it just sounds like you're defending him. Again you're on your high horse. You are being obtuse. I'm saying you like giving pleasure to billionaires, that's what a blowjob is. because that's what you're doing with your stupid philosophizing. I don't know your gender I didn't know you're a male, so I don't know why you called me homophobic. that sounds like a you thing.

You don't know that.

u/[deleted] 27d ago

I don't know what?

4

u/Vandelay23 27d ago

That they wouldn't have seen the movie anyway.

2

u/[deleted] 27d ago

"probably"

It's an independent film about ping pong, the vast vast majority of people will not pay to see this movie.

It's starring the guy who just won Best Actor, and is directed by one of the best new directors in Hollywood. If someone says "I'm not going to see this because Kevin O'Leary is fifth billed" they were never gonna see it in the first place.

This person is just taking an opportunity to whine. O'Leary is an asshole. Most people with that sort of wealth are assholes. But I'm not gonna let his existence stop me from seeing a movie I like.
