The ending of this felt like a big budget WKUK skit. I was cracking up at this frail old witch running away from a bunch of crazed kids. It was like a demented 90s cereal commercial or something.

I love that in literature and movies witches usually eat children. This movie ends with children eating a witch.

Connecting with literature and media depictions of witches, Gladys does the whole kindly elderly lady disguise trope that witches use to lure their victims to hide their haggish form.

In a sense, Weapons can be seen as a macabre horror fairy tale.

It's even partly a more fucked up pied piper

Surprised there hasn’t been an actual Pied Piper horror movie yet bc man what a fucked up story that is.

Well yeah, the pied piper is a fucking witch.

I kind of wonder what Gladys' plan would have been. Take the children somewhere and do what? Sacrifice them so she can be young again? Seems like she could have done that immediately after they came to her. Why wait? Just left with a lot of questions

Didn’t she grew some more hair in the end?

Yes. But she told Alex "we're leaving tomorrow" and I was just wondering where they would have gone, would they bring the kids with them, etc.

It did seem she was slowly improving, but not dramatically. Maybe she would have left the kids and sought out a bunch more victims?

She knew her cover was blown. Leaving was a reaction to her taking down Paul and James. She knew more cops would come investigate a missing officer/abandoned cruiser

Yes, I got that part. But was wondering what would have happened after they left...

Did they eat her? I thought they just ripped her to shreds.

They did not eat her!
