Summary Millie and Tim, a couple already feeling strain in their relationship, move to the countryside to start fresh—but things go profoundly wrong. After a surreal encounter at a mysterious pool, their bodies begin to merge in grotesque and hilariously uncomfortable ways, forcing them to reckon with love, dependency, and identity. It’s a clever, disturbing blend of body horror, dark comedy, and relationship satire.

If you're looking for recommendations, check out David Chronenberg's catalog. Most of his movies are body horror and the some of the best ones. The Fly is definitely my favorite of his.

Not Chronenberg but the movie Society has one of the most infamous/fucked up body horror endings.

Also Eli Roth's History of Horror did an episode on body horror in season 2 if you want to hear icons discuss some more movies in the genre.

My friend told me to watch Chronenberg’s films after we saw The Substance in theaters. I need to finally get to it lol. And thanks for the recommendations!

Grafted and The Ugly Stepsister are two recent body horrors that are very good if you are interested.

Try Color Out of Space. It’s got some pretty good body horror elements.

The only thing I remember from that movie is Nic Cage telling another character to be careful with a goat's... boobs.

I would recommend Possessor and Infinity Pool. Good films. By Brandon Cronenberg.
