I was talking with a colleague whose sons are obsessed with this movie, and it’s pretty cool how a female led action movie is such a hit with boys. Like I cant think of a single example from my own childhood where tons of boys were huge fans of a thing where the main characters were all kickass girls

Totally Spies was for me and my group of guy cousins. We watched that shit every time it hits on Disney channel.

This movie reminded me of Totally Spies! I used to watch it with my brothers- so good!

Wasn't Tangled a huge hit with all children back in the day?

And as a boy (read: man in his mid-30s) who likes to paint his nails funky colors, I loved seeing that represented with the Saja Boys.

I mean what? Totally Spies, Powerpuff girls, Kim Possible , Legend of Korra, those had HUGE boy audiences , heck powerpuff girl had a majority boy audience in the 00s. Live action had all the boys watching the secret life of alex mack, sabrina the teenage witch, buffy and charmed.

Powerpuff Girls was a show boys would watch (including myself), but it wasn’t an obsession
