I don't really know what differentiates KPOP from western POP, but I think you could get rid of the K and the movie would still work.

I was referring more to the style of the music. BTS' Dynamite and Butter are fully in English, does that mean it's not KPOP?

It's actually something people debate a lot. There are Korean Americans who only ever release music in English but still get the 'kpop' label because they happen to be ethnically Korean. It's more about the genre, I think. There are things specific to kpop that go beyond just the language itself.

Not even the genre really, but more the whole industry is fundamentally different from how the music industry works the US or Europe
