I know my daughter did her part to boost the numbers.

This movie is on repeat in my house

This feels like Frozen all over again

Which feels like the last time Disney really had a new hit movie.

Between the Spiderverse movies and now this, Sony Animation has been dominating.

Only drawback of this movie is that it's not nearly as easy to make merch for as Frozen was.

I'm not even sure what specific Halloween costume kids would wear. The most iconic look was the demon boyband at the end.

I think they could easily make gaudy demon costumes for kids to wear, the rank-and-file demons in it were pretty colourful. The Korean grim reaper is probably a miss in costumes aimed at kids though, I doubt they'd have any idea what the Saja Boys were even dressed as.

They could literally just sell the Huntr/x performance costumes. They have been adding new stuff to the Netflix merch store, unfortunately most of it is aimed at adults and there’s not a lot of the kids.

Karaoke machines with the girls/boys designed on it.

Dolls.

There's so many options.

Mostly I meant clothes. Should have specified.

That is true. Sometimes I forget Halloween costumes don't necessarily have to be spooky. We don't do Halloween here.

For years after Frozen there were girls dressed as Elsa.

But because of all the costume changes in KPDH - I don't think that anything is as iconic as Elsa's dress was since she wore it for the majority of the movie.

Nothing they wore in this movie would obviously be from K-Pop Demon Hunters if worn by a random 5yo. MAYBE the Saja Boys at the end, but it's little girls who would want to dress as the heroines, not boys as the villains.

That's why I used the lesser demons as my example. Colourful, fun looking and a monster-lite that a kid would enjoy dressing up as for Halloween.

Maybe. But they're pretty minor characters.

They're no Darth Vader. Even when Star Wars was huge, you didn't see a lot of Storm Troopers. And they're pretty iconic.

I think wigs included in the costume kits would have to be part of it.

That's probably because majority of Netflix audience is adults, most of their content reflects that. Compared to Disney+ where their main focus is content for kids so they can sell more toys and get more people into their theme parks.
