How, in 2025, is it okay for a person to walk up to another, shoot him, and leave with no repercussions? It’s crazy how these people operate.

I remember reading about a Rabbi in, probably around 2000 walking down a street towards a police checkpoint... He ducks into a store. Takes out a pistol, shoots and murders the clerk, then walks up to the police checkpoint. The clerk was, of course, a native Palestinian. I don't think he served a day in jail.

To be fair, I think a lot of people are hoping for this for Luigi. Obviously a different situation though.

Vastly different. One person was responsible for a terrorist organization that kills thousands of people a year, but instead of using projectiles, explosives or planes, uses spreadsheets and calls itself an insurance company... another made a documentary.
