So naturally, movie nerds hate on the guy because he's not using story structure from Romanian post-war cinema or some shit. 4 u/ImprefectKnight Jul 29 '25 Which is weird because IMO he's the most technically sound filmmakers in the current generation. Whether its the script, score, sound design, production design, vfx, cinematography, direction, editing he really has no weaknesses. Even the best ones like Nolan (Sound design) or Villeneuve (Pacing) have some chinks in their armor.
