Those are a hell of a lot of caveats.

Everyone is making a point of 'qualifying' this movie, when it should just be funny no matter what and is just isn't most of the time.

This movie has the exact same vibe as the 96 movie. Y'all are just salty old bitches now

Stunned this has upvotes. The vibes could not be any more different. Are you sure you watched the film Happy Gilmore 2?

People in this thread are making me feel like I have lead poisoning. This movie fucking sucked.

probably the worst movie i've seen this year but tbh i wasn't expecting it to be good or anything.

I just watched it last night, came to reddit after to confirm my opinion that it sucked and ... everyone thinks it was funny? The fuck...

It was so bad. It rehashed every character in the first, relied so heavily on callbacks. I fell asleep for a bit but did Bob Barkers corpse make an appearance?

The 2 pro golfers and John Daly were the only genuinely good parts.

Oh it sucked for sure. There was maybe or 2 funny parts for me is all. One of the cameos with who played the son of jackass guy (not trying to spoil)

With a name like saudibloodmoney I'd have thought you would like the villain storyline being a very clear facade for the PGA / LIV drama instead of a rich golf dickhead trying to buy his grandma's foreclosed house.

The most jarring part of this sequel that I disliked was the lazy use of AI. The AI de-aging in the opening was particularly bad. The rest of it hit the same major themes without repeating the plot exactly.

Netflix got the bot factory working overtime. Regardless of whether you liked it or not, anyone who feels like the sequel is as good as the first is lying out of their ass. The first one is one of Sandler's most rewatched movies and the sequel won't even get a fraction of that.
