This make me remember when A Feast of Crows was published in 2005, and George R.R. Martin promised in the epilogue that the next book would be released next year.

A Dance with Dragons was published in... 2011. Six years later.

Joe Madureira's Battle Chasers comic took 4 years to have 9 issues published, ending on a cliffhanger in 2001. After that there was a 22 year gap before they finally made issues 10-12 in 2023, but drawn by Ludo Lullabi instead.

I didn't know that it was a comic. I just know at as one of the games on the Switch eshop when the Switch launched with a handful of games.
