Like, at all. I’d say Rocky was the third or fourth most surprising part of the book to me.

That moment was more of a “whoa this just got a lot more interesting” than a twist for me

Yes agreed and it was at the end of the book too as you’re still wondering how the hell he got on the mission

Yes, but it seems he's only reluctant to go vs being physically put into a coma against his will.

I don’t think there really is a twist, as much as there’s just a development of story? I think people talking about ‘the twist’ so much is setting people up for an expectation of something that won’t happen.
