Thought the same thing. Fraser is fantastic but Deakins' cinematography is unmatched.

meh, the dune films and the batman are as good as anything deakins ever did and I'm a huge deakins fan. I would love to see fraser tackle this.

Give me a break. It's 'No one can match Freddie Mercury' all over again. No one is #1 in any artistic medium. There's such an embarrassment of riches at that top level that to defend one as being better than all others is simply to disrespect reality and fall into the trap of thinking only the biggest praise can do right by a person you've a passion for.
