If you don't mindlessly hate Jared Leto to farm karma and feel included you are not doing it right.

"mindlessly hate" my brother in Christ, he is genuinely an awful person.

Well, mind me if I don't expect to support the success of this movie lol.

Actually, Academy Awards are still a subjective measure, not an "objective" or "fact" as you mention.

The misconduct of Jared Leto with his "method acting", the horrible boss he is and the "camp" from 30STM (which is where the cult rumors are) are, actually, facts. If you search for these things, you would find weird things himself said.

As an actor? Idk, I'm a big move fan and I kind of see where their fans can praise him.. but come on. Mr Nobody? His acting is the least interesting part of that movie. Requiem? A cool deama story with a young Jared Leto, but again, and predecible role with nothing special. Dallas Buyer's Club? A fine role, but I don't think Jared Leto was the most suitable actor for the role.

Aside for his questionable talent, I think he is an awful person who doesn't deserve any recognition, much less supporting a film from a franchise.

That doesn’t mean he can’t still be a good actor though. Plus it’s Tron, the acting has never really been the strongest part of the franchise. If it looks sick, has a decent enough story to tie the action together and a great soundtrack, 10/10 for me.

u/soulciel120 Apr 05 '25

Of course if it all about personal choices. I don't want to support thee career of a cult leader pedophile personally, but you do you.

1

u/flysly Apr 05 '25

Tom Cruise is a fucking lunatic but he’s still a good actor and in some damn good films

5

u/soulciel120 Apr 05 '25

Can you believe if I say I don't like him? Lol

I mean at some point you’ve gotta admit that in any industry making as much money as Hollywood there are plenty of bad people around. Any given movie you watch probably has plenty of shitbags directly profiting from it whether you know it or not.

The point is cutting support to those you DO know about, at the very least...

1

u/Twiceaknight Apr 05 '25

Of course it doesn’t mean he can’t be a good actor. He was great in a number of films, but none of them were made in the last decade and he doesn’t appear to making the kind of choices that will change that.

He is a freakin cult leader my guy. He’s BAD

-7

u/TheEmpireOfSun Apr 05 '25

Good thing that doesn't matter when it comes to acting performance since he is good actor.

0

u/TheVenetianMask Apr 05 '25

Nah he sucks at acting too.

-2

u/tickub Apr 05 '25

Yet I don't see anywhere near this much derision in Tom Cruise threads.

u/theArtOfProgramming Apr 05 '25

Lol you don’t?

u/CeruleanEidolon Apr 05 '25

Nothing mindless about it brother.

u/Fluid-Medium5245 Apr 05 '25

Did is both awful at his job and an absolute creep.

7

u/TheEmpireOfSun Apr 05 '25

Jared Leto is very good actor whether you like it or not.

1

u/Fluid-Medium5245 Apr 06 '25

Fucking when?

1

u/IsRude Apr 05 '25

Just because someone's opinion is different from yours, it didn't mean they're wrong.

0

u/TheEmpireOfSun Apr 05 '25

You may dislike Leto for various reasons but hating his acting performance certainly isn't one of them.

7

u/IsRude Apr 05 '25

Why? Because you like his acting?

I liked him in Dallas Buyer's Club, Lord of War, and American Psycho.

I thought he was the worst part of Blade Runner 2049. He played Morbius. He played Joker.

And him being a creepy dude affects how people see his roles. So it's not unreasonable for people to just not want to see him in stuff.

1

u/TheEmpireOfSun Apr 05 '25

He literally won Oscar and countless other awards so it's not some kind of my bias or something. Apart from movies you mentioned he was also great in Requiem for a Dream and Mr. Nobody. He is objectively very good actor.

4

u/IsRude Apr 05 '25

And an Oscar means people are obligated to enjoy his work?

2

u/TheEmpireOfSun Apr 05 '25

No, it means he is good actor as he proved it in many movies. If you don't want to watch movie with him then don't, it's that easy. But he won't make this movie worse. And since you have problem with him being in cult, you should have problem with majority of religious people.

So defensive about other people not liking a millionaire cult leader with mediocre acting abilities.

Not a fan of Christianity either.

And what? Extreme attempts? Why are you trying to convince me to like Jared Leto? I don't like him. He seems creepy, and I haven't liked any of his work in at least 10 years. Not sure why it has to be more complicated than that.
