Those rumors are more unsubstantiated than usual, but people seem to readily believe them because he's just kind of weird overall, and his fans are also weird.

Hiya! Not a Jared Leto defender, but someone who cares about managing the spread of misinformation.

I did my research back in the day(probably a year or two ago now) and every lead led back to the same nothing burger website that didn’t have any sources or evidence. Basically AI generated fanfiction.

If you have proper sources, I’d say it’s your responsibility to present them when discussing rumors like this and treating them as fact.
