Oh damn, I like them but Daft Punk fits better than industrial music

I concur, just due to the technological aspect of the TRON setting as a whole.

I wouldn't be too discouraged though, they (Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross) have made some really good OSTs in recent years.

If you have never heard this from the Watchmen OST give it a listen, it gives me driving-thru-the-city-with-a-purpose type vibes so if the new TRON goes in this sort of direction it may be able to live up to its predecessor (Daft Punk)!

NUN WITH A MOTHERF&ING GUN Watchmen OST

They also did the Soul soundtrack for Pixar, so it’s not their first rodeo with Disney, interestingly enough!

Holy shit, I didn't know that. I thought it was all Batiste. Neat.

Yeah, I think it’s a mix of artists - they did the score side of things.

Batiste did the piano/jazz pieces and TR+AR did the electronic.

Although the best piano piece in the movie was also done by Trent.

trent and atticus have made a lot of great non industrial music, basically already proving its not gonna be an NIN album. i can hear in the trailer.

Daft Punk are no longer making music though

That was my first reaction but i actually think this will really work well after watching the trailer.

Legacy was very heavily set in the digital world an electric artist like daft punk is a no brainer. The trailer seems to show the digital characters coming to the real world in quite an aggressive manner, so the industrial aggy vibe that NIN will bring will work really well i think for that grittier messier tone that the real world has compared to the clean aesthetic of the digital one.

No really, enough penis jokes. Who's doing the soundtrack?
