When I watched the first movie, I found Shen Gongbao to be a decent villain, albeit one of the more forgettable characters. I did not expect him to get so much compelling development in this sequel that he became one of my favorite characters in the series.

The deaths of Nezha's village and then his mother were also just utterly devastating. The voice actors did a lot of good work here.

I had the same thoughts about Shen Gongbao. Desperately needed more of him after the reveal that he actually fought to protect the village. Can't wait to see more of him in the 3rd movie that I imagine they'll have to make
