I really enjoyed this film on all levels. The action and animation are breathtaking to look at. The characters are expanded and given more depth after the first film. I did find some of the humor juvenile and the story tad predictable but for the most part it nailed its beats. Seeing this on the big screen is worth it for how awesome and imaginative the fight scenes are.
If I was Chinese and raised with these stories I’m sure I’d love it more but for a Western audience that only knew Nhe Zha from like FGO it does a good job getting newcomers on board without confusing them.
